Growth spurt?

What are the milestones for growth spurts & how do you know (FTM here)? DS is almost 6 weeks and just the past day 4 oz isn't staying long. Tonight's he had 4oz breastmilk, kept crying his hunger cry along with hunger cues, so gave 1oz formula. About an hour later he started crying & giving hunger cues again so he nursed about 30 minutes ( not sure how much he got since I don't produce much while pumping). Any ideas?

From the Kelly mom website: Common times for growth spurts are during the first few days at home and around 7-10 days, 2-3 weeks, 4-6 weeks, 3 months, 4 months, 6 months and 9 months (more or less). Babies don’t read calendars, however, so your baby may do things differently.

Sounds like a growth spurt, I know the rule is they tend to need 2.5 oz/each pound they weigh to grow on a daily basis. I found this article that explains the general time frames: https://kellymom.com/hot-topics/growth-spurts/

Sounds like a growth spurt to me.

Mine is going through one this week (he doesn't like calendars) at 8 weeks and has upped his intake of food to 5.5-6 ounces per feeding which is insane, but somehow my body is actually producing just about enough when I pump (short about a half ounce each time) which is amazing to me since I have wicked supply issues.
