Miss being prego

Hi everyone,
I've been on here for a while but never really posted anything. I'm just wondering if anyone else misses being pregnant? Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love having my daughter here. She truly is a blessing.
I just never realized how much I enjoyed being pregnant until after I had her. I think I'm suffering from some baby blues. I just miss every aspect like the appointments, ultrasounds etc! And now it's been about a year since I've found out I was pregnant and it just makes me sad. Does anyone else feel this way? Thanks

Re: Miss being prego

  • I can understand why women would miss it- knowing your baby is safe and has all she needs and getting to feel her kick and move. But I don't miss being pregnant. Mine was rough with nausea, migraines, and ultimately preeclampsia. Plus I just love watching her grow on a daily basis and not having to wait to go to the doctor to see her and hear her.

  • I had a rough miserable pregnancy but I miss it too. I think I may have the baby blues too. Good luck mama!
  • I miss it too! I love seeing my baby learn and grow on the outside too, but it was nice to have a cute little belly and being so close to him all the time and feeling his kicks and rolls. I had a fairly easy pregnancy so I'm sure that has something to do with it, but I'm already excited for when we can try again!
  • I know I feel the same! Mine was perfect including the delivery! Which I know the next will be different, but hoping it goes just as smooth! I also feel like nothing will ever feel as special as my first pregnancy. I hope these blues fade away. I'm so emotional too! Glad to know I'm not alone, my family thinks I'm crazy! Lol Thanks ladies. :)
  • I miss the kicks! But love that I'm able to get back on my fitness! Being preggo is super restrictive on pretty much everything
  • Funny thing is I HATED being pregnant while I was pregnant... BUT now I miss it too! I think it's just a weird transition going from feeling your little one's kicks constantly throughout the day and just that feeling of them being with you everywhere you go to trying to go back to "normal". My poor hubby, I've already been talking his ear off about having more and getting pregnant again (although not yet, I do want to enjoy my first a while longer before adding in being pregnant and exhausted).

  • I only miss certain parts, like kicks and my belly. I don't miss the fatigue, weight (still sporting some of that though), horrible sleep, heartburn & vomiting. I think pregnancy is like a breakup. Once it's over you only remember the good things. This was my last child and in ways I'm kind of sad, but realistically I know I can not do it again.
  • I had major back pain the last 3 months of my pregnancy and could NOT sleep during these months- and still miss being pregnant!! I felt very special and received so much love and kindness from those around me!! It's one of the things that makes me want to have another baby!! Haha I also had major baby blues for about 10 days- and then continued to be quite emotional and anxious for another month or so... It helped to get rest (when possible!), go out with my LO (for walks, to the mall, anywhere!), and see friends and family. I think being cooped up and isolated was very hard for me the first month. Take care!!!
  • Yes! I often feel a little sad that there is no baby in my belly. Glad I'm not alone!
