My husband and I are planning on transferring again in Dec. as long as everything goes the way it should with AF in October & November, we've had one IVF round that blessed us with 8 ️embryos we transferred 1 with a fresh cycle that was a BFN after that we transferred 2 more with a FET which gave us our first BFP in 10 years of trying.... Sadly we lost our presious lovely frozen babies before my 6th week, so needless to say im very scared & worried that this will happen again we only have 5 frozen babies left and we plan to transfer 2 more again come 12/2015.... #1 I wanted to ask do you think we are waiting too long inbetween to transfer again? Reason being is my fear as well as trying to loose a few pounds RE said it would be helpful not necessary because he believes that our loss was due to lack of progesterone support for our babies. #2 I wanted to ask if any of you helpful ladies have any suggestions that I should do this time to keep my babies to stay with me? #3 how soon after transfer did any of you ladies start to bring your exercise routine back into your life? I'm thankful for any advise you ladies can give so thank you in advance!!

XoXo
Re: Sept. MC possible IVF transfer 12/2015
#1 - when was your last transfer? Regardless, it's not too long if you don't feel ready! Take the time you need to and if you and DH feel the urge to try sooner or later do what's right for you! In the meantime feel positive that you are doing your best to prepare your body and mental state for the pregnancy to come.
#2 - it sounds very positive that your re will be working on your progesterone. I hesitate to offer more, because it was in no way your fault that you experienced your loss. You're doing great with embryos and pregnancy already, so it sounds like this will be it for you!!
#3 - my RE recommends restricted activity which I've done. It's frustrating but worth it! This doesn't mean bed rest, I've been enjoying lots of long autumn walks with my dog and DH as well as playing with my friend's toddler and 8month old, but it does mean no high impact or aerobic exercise that might cause me to overheat. This seems to be the norm for After ET which is different then IUI. I really focus on my diet and making sure I'm eating healthy and lots of foods with positive potential impacts, like pineapple and healthy veggies and protein. That said, I'm in my 2ww so who knows if this model works!! Here's hoping!
@kmartinez209, I'm so sorry for your loss and struggles. I want to start off with saying that nothing you did contributed to your recent loss, so please don't ever blame yourself for that!
1- I'm a firm believer in waiting until you are mentally and emotionally ready before continuing on your journey.
We did our first ivf last year, got pregnant with twins off of our fresh cycle and unfortunately lost them around 6 weeks, right after Thanksgiving. I was gung-ho about getting af and doing a fet ASAP, but my body had other plans. I didn't get af until February and during my testing, they found polyps and remnants in my uterus which all needed to be surgically removed before continuing. This pushed everything back and we could not transfer until April and it was such a blessing in disguise! In that time, we were able to grieve our loss, move on, have some fun and not stress about the fet. When we finally did the transfer, we didn't feel any pressure and just made it a more fun experience for us. Luckily, we got another bfp with 2 very sticky embryos and are trucking along at 27w.
For your pregnancy, did they monitor your progesterone and have you on supplements? For my fresh, I had to do nightly pio injections and for my fet, I did twice daily injections. My level was checked with my beta levels and then a few times at my followup appts to make sure my levels were strong enough. If they didn't monitor your progesterone levels enough last time, I'd suggest requesting that they do.
2- Unfortunately, there is nothing anyone can do to keep their little ones sticky. And as I said earlier, please don't blame yourself or continue thinking you missed a special step that led to a loss, they just happen.
3- I was never able to do any type of exercise with this pregnancy! Before getting pregnant, I did not work out much but was still hoping to do some basic things and do some pregnancy workout dvds.
I was told not exercise during the 2ww and then not too long after, I started having bleeding issues due to subchronic hematomas, so I was on restrictions. I've had more random problems pop up and my ob requested no exercise or anything strenuous for my entire pregnancy. It's a bummer because I'd like to be able to go for long walks or do basic exercise, but withholding is so worth it to ensure the safety of me and the babies.
I'm sorry, I wish there was some secret those of us who have struggled and been blessed with pregnancy have discovered that we could pass on to women who continue to struggle. All I can do is tell you to try and keep your head up and focus on the light at the end of the tunnel. You finally got a bfp which is amazing and proves it can happen for you.
My fingers are crossed your next transfer works, good luck on your journey.
Whether you decide to donthe FET in November or December, (don't forget you may need to be on OCPs for a cycle prior) right now you can start preparing by working to improve your health and uterine lining. It's a small thing, but it can offer a sense of control in a space where we really have none. I've found it very helpful to focus on.
idk if you will find this helpful but it may help you through the wait and ease some of your fears about the upcoming cycle. The grief, I think, will just take time and there will always be some pain there. I can't wait for you and your DH to have your rainbow baby and to feel that joy again.
