-background info-
I had a vaginal birth, no tearing but had a postpartum hemorrhage - i didnt think anything of it, everything was okay in the end.
2-3 hours after giving birth i was perfectly able to stand, walk, and use the bathroom all by myself with no pain or issues besides very minimal soreness that lasted that day only.
I felt and still feel great after having her.
Now 2w and a few days PP already lost all the weight i gained (only 25lb) thanks to BF im assumeing, and i really want to start working out, i know most people can't because of tearing or csection recoverys or others issues but i have none, so what im wondering is there still a reason i have to wait to work out? I honestly don't know

- id ask my doctor but i wont find out when i have my appointment till at my daughters tomorrow

Re: Question

  • My delivery was pretty smooth too, but I was still told to wait. I forget exactly what my doctor said in the hospital but it was something about not everything being healed and working out can prolong the recovery and make it worse. I'm 3 weeks post partum and I feel fine, but I've noticed that if I do too much my bleeding starts again. I'm just walking for now until I get to 6 weeks.

  • It's wonderful you are feeling so great! It is a pretty big task creating and delivering a baby, even if you feel pretty good, your body still needs some recovery time.
