Feeling my own pulse??

Ftm. I'm 19w2d today. I've noticed the past couple days if I put my hands on the left side of my belly I can feel my own pulse and it's really strong. Sometimes I don't even have to feel it with my hands. If I lay on my back I can just feel it. I'm assuming it's due to my belly stretching and more blood pumping to that area but it's just weird to me. Anyone else ever have this?? Is it normal?????

Re: Feeling my own pulse??

  • Yeah I've had this for a long time this pregnancy, normal don't know...i assume so. It got on my nerves at first but I'm used to it now-or it isn't as bad-don't notice it.

  • I have the same thing and can only assume it's normal!

Every time is happens I think it's the baby haha. Pretty annoying. It literally feel like it's beating in my stomach.

  • I can always feel my pulse very strongly especially in my tummy area even when not pregnant. But I have noticed it's super exasperated now that there is a little one growing in there! It's normal . But yes it's annoying and I assume a product of increased blood flow to the area.
  • I've felt my pulse like that since long before I ever had kids lol it's normal.
  • Yes I've felt that too
  • Almost since becoming pregnant, I can always feel my heartbeat, I can also see it in my belly. Also sometimes when I stand up fast I can see it in my eyes.... Idk how else to explain that one, it's weird and I've never had it before. Normal, not sure. But, I'm experiencing it also. I've just been contributing it to all that extra blood flow we have going on.
  • This is my problem. Im constantly having movement/spasms/twitching in my belly and I can't tell if its baby or not! #ftmprobs

I've been having those the past 2-3 weeks now and I can now officially say they're movement lol I'm 21 weeks now and I was feeling it at my ultrasound while you could see LO moving around
