Went in for my 20 week ultrasound on 10/02 and my cervix length is 3.22cm. Will I be at risk of preterm labor?
I'm on keepemcooking.com and it states 16-20 weeks cervical length should be 4.0-4.5
24-28 weeks 3.5-4.0
32-36 weeks 3.0-3.5
Really all that I've read I should be in the 4.0's but I'm not.
Re: Healthy cervix size at 20-21 weeks?
My Doctors office, and from what I've heard from others, said anything over 3 is perfectly fine. Mine has dropped to 2.6 and my doctors discussed some possibilities with us but said they wouldn't intervene until it was 2 cm. They did another check a week later and it was back to 3.
The length can vary minute to minute, so it can also depend when you go in for the scan. But again, if there was any concern, your doctor would have discussed it with you.
