Need Ideas on how to reveal pregnancy to friends-facebook announcement

My Husband and I khave told everyone close but we would like to do a facebook announcement! Can you suggest some cute ideas?

Some things about us:

first baby will know gender at end of month.

We have 3 small dogs.

He is a baker we used to own a bakery.

hmmm don't know what else we can share to help inspire.

We took pics. Sign says "tie breaker coming March 2016" and I made them shirts.

We did ours by holding a pair of booties with the caption our family is growing by 2 feet.

Here's what we did to include our dogs, and an additional one of just us. I love the photofy app for making collages and putting text and stickers on the photos. All it took was a white board for background, but everyone loves it!

Instead of coffee and water bowl you could do bakery sweets and then a dog bone for the mom/dad/doggies one... Since you had a bakery! Make it personal. How exciting!

We have a cat that sleeps on my husband all day while he works from home. He is not going to be happy about sharing. Haha! So we created this. I hate being the center of attention so it was nice to deflect a little of it to the cat.

I hate the people who constantly post things on Facebook for attention. I actually hate attention and being fussed over so Facebook has actually been a life saver for me so I don't have twenty friends and relatives all asking me "how are you feeling?, are you eating healthy?, do you know what it is yet? Are you taking your vitamins? Have you felt anything yet? " ugh drives me nuts. I'm actually a very private person and I share only what I want to share with everyone all at one time and then retreat to my privacy.

I will be posting on FB because I am a 28 year old woman trapped in a 16 year old's body and I WANT TO SHOW OFF. Now to think of something creative that isn't a rip off of something I've seen on Pinterest...

ETA: I have no shame. I rarely post and DH has even mentioned this is not really my nature, but I am so proud and happy I just want to shout it from the rooftops and Facebook is the next best thing!

I'll be posting on fb next week but mostly because I'm lazy!!

I told the most important people in person (parents, in laws, siblings, my grandma, went all the way to Cali to tell her, and my bff) but I haven't told the rest of my family or friends. I'd call but me and DH have the stereotypical LARGE Hispanic family. It's not only large but spread across the country (IL,MI,GA,MO,KS,WI,FL,CA,NV,WA,OR,NY). I keep in touch via fb. Ain't nobody got time to call them all!!

Eta: heaven forbid they don't know before baby is here because a family feud will begin!

I don't think there's anything wrong with FB announcements as long as the important family and friends already know... It's not for everyone and I don't post much on there, but I did post when we got engaged and married, so it feels ok to me to post some kind of announcement when we are ready. The ladies that constantly post bump pics and status updates about symptoms are another story.

I love seeing pregnancy announcements from friends on Facebook, especially people who I might have lost touch with lately. It's exciting and I'm glad to be in on the news. I don't see it as attention whoring at all, but then again I have a pretty high tolerance for such stuff.

I also love it when they post bump update photos, it's nice to be a part of that part of their life, even if we're not able to keep in touch much irl.

I started a new phd at university... I am older than everyone else and had to explain what uni was like BEFORE Facebook...

I recounted stories of flip phones, texting limited by 112 characters, forgetting what that guy from last night looked like bc you are not already friend of friends of FB and there are not 100 pics of last night's party up by brunch...

Also gt ting together with your girls on a Thursday night to watch the OC before getting ready to go out

This! Also had one of those push to talk nextel phones and thought I was hot stuff for having this in college. Also before i-anything.

Oh the OC... teen angst at its finest. I loved that show.

This is what we did for announcing sex. You could do something similar for announcing pregnancy in general. I got the idea from Pinterest and I am not ashamed. I wish I could have incorporated my dogs, but they have the attention span of fleas.

Those are really cute ideas. I haven't announced yet but was planning on announcing after my anatomy scan. Although, I have a wedding this weekend and everyone will clearly see I'm pregnant at almost 20 weeks
