Previous Ectopic Pregnancy

Hey ladies! I was wondering if anyone had any experience with my situation. I have two awesome kids, so I had an IUD placed while I was getting started in my career. I found out last November that despite the IUD, I was pregnant. Within hours I began to bleed at work and the ER discovered that the pregnancy was ectopic. I had surgery, but the doc saved my tube. I haven't used any contraception since then, and now according to my LMP I'll be six weeks tomorrow. No sign of bleeding this time, occasional twinges of pain but very minor... What are my chances of this working out well? I'm trying to remain cautiously optimistic. Anyone else been through this before?

    I had an ectopic that resulted in surgical removal of a tube. I had signs by 5 weeks (spotting) and tenderness. Some light cramps and twinges are normal in early pregnancy. History of ectopic increases risk for another when you still have the tube, so I'd ask for an ultrasound to confirm placement. I had mine today at 6 weeks 1 day and all is well, so worth the reassurance!

    ETA that my risk is not increased since they removed the tube, but we check as I'm paranoid to lose my only Fallopian tube!

    Thanks! They don't want to do the ultrasound until the 16th, so I'm still very uncertain.
