Stranger danger

Anyone experience this yet with their LO. I took mine to a rehearsal dinner and it was amazing to see who my son just hated(screaming his head off) or who he really liked(instantly smiling). Also he saw my mom and brother for the 1st time since 2 months old and he hated both of them after multiple attempts. It made me feel bad!

    Yes. This has been happening much more often. She will scream bloody murder if someone even comes up to her and she can not see me.

    Same here! DD is 4 months old and has been like this for about a month. I have heard to first talk to that new person for a bit while holding LO then let that person hold baby, should make it better. I've done this a few times at Sunday dinners with the family and so far it's helped! And especially when they hold her facing out towards me. But it's hard to do when seeing someone for just a quick meet. It's kind of embarrassing for me when she cries even with the people she sees quite often. Hope it's just a phase.

    LO does this too. I actually call it her Stranger Danger cry, lol. She wasn't around a lot of people because my family lived in a different state, but now we live close. It took her a while to get used to everyone, but it'll happen. Just hold her while talking to the new people and let baby see that it's okay. Lots of smiles and soft voices instead of excited loud voices.

    Last night at a restaraunt, the guy at the table behind us turned around to check out the babes and sure enough he started screaming. It was funny but embarrassing. We had to take him out for a min to calm down. The guy felt so bad.
