My 8 week appointment was a bust. I arrived to be told that the doctor who I *have* to see first, had to leave for the day, so they rescheduled me. The new appointment isn't until I'll be 11 weeks! It's my second pregnancy with this practice, but I have questions regarding breast changes with pregnancy while still nursing, I want to be sure everything is still okay in there, and I need to get the script for the NT ultrasound which has to be done between 10-12 weeks. Sorry for the vent, but I'm frustrated and spent part of last night and this morning trying to get this sorted out. I'm waiting for a call back from the office to see if they can see me sooner.

How did your appointment go? Well. Just a pee test, blood work and pretty much a consultation about the journey of my pregnancy.

Did you doctor address any concerns or questions you had? Just my morning sickness and trying to confirm my due date. She says we have to go by my LMP and use that as my EDD.

Any ultrasound pics? No, I will be getting an ultrasound this Thursday.

When's your next appointment? This Thursday. Getting to see the little bean and getting a confirmed due date. Can't wait!

@kbrands7 That is so annoying. I understand things come up, but not being able to get you in for another 3 weeks when you had a scheduled appointment seems excessive, especially considering you need an NT ultrasound. Hopefully they can get you in sooner!

I met my new Dr. for the 1st time yesterday. He was extremely nice and reassured me that nothing was wrong. The shortness of breath has been very alarming and I do not remember experiencing it with my DD. He explained that's it's very common. He also said the nausea is a great sign, yeah yeah I know.
He did a 1st trimester ultrasound on his dinosaur of a machine. His gain was ridiculous high and he had no idea what TGC's were. I just had to laugh as I always love when doctors try to do our job. Luckily after the initial visit a real sonographer scans his patients with an up to date machine.
My next appointment is in 3 weeks and that's when all the genetic testing through blood and nuchal translucency ultrasound will be preformed.

I agree! I'd be upset that the earliest they could reschedule was in 3 weeks...and it was THEIR fault for cancelling on you last minute. I'd be calling my office no-stop to get a sooner date.

Woohoo! I called for a third time today and asked to speak directly with the doctor this time. She squeezed me in for next Wednesday. Thanks for the support, ladies! Also, I think I'm "that" pregnant lady...oh well.

How did your appointment go? Good! We confirmed my due date (may 7th). Got an ultrasound (2nd one). My husband got to hear the heartbeat this time. All is good.

Did you doctor address any concerns or questions you had? Nope, my Dr said I'm boring. No complications with my last pregnancy, everything looks good and healthy.

Any ultrasound pics? Yes but it's on my phone.

When's your next appointment? Oct 19th when I'm 11 weeks.

How did your appointment go? Standard I guess! Dating u/s done, prenatal blood draw done, met with midwife.

Did you doctor address any concerns or questions you had? Midwife referred me to MFM to discuss continuing or discontinuing a prescription med, so yes!

Any ultrasound pics? Just one! Little gummy bear is doing just fine!

When's your next appointment? October 26 at 12 weeks.

How did your appointment go? Good! Just a standard visit.

Did you doctor address any concerns or questions you had? Yes! Among other things, I asked my OB to try to find baby's heartbeat via Doppler even though she wouldn't normally try this early. She did, and there it was! What an awesome sound! I'm flying cross country to visit family this weekend, and while I'm not planning on sharing that I'm pregnant, at least now if someone finds out I can be confident that all is well with baby.

Any ultrasound pics? Not this time.

When's your next appointment? MFM visit in 2 weeks for the ultrasound part of the NT screening.

How did your appointment go? Great! It was my first prenatal visit so we saw the first ultrasound, which was awesome.

Did you doctor address any concerns or questions you had? I have a heart condition, so that was really my only big concern. My doctor wants me to see a cardiologist during the pregnancy, but it shouldn't be a big deal.

Any ultrasound pics? Yep! Already on the fridge!

When's your next appointment? October 23.

How did your appointment go? Great! Met with my doctor, blood drawn, dating U/S (confirmed that I'm 7w0d), flu shot, and met with the Healthy Steps nurse.

Did you doctor address any concerns or questions you had? I'll have an early anatomy scan because of previous history. With our last pregnancy, our son had a rare, non-genetic heart condition. We will have our anatomy scan at 16 weeks and a fetal echocardiogram somewhere between 18 and 22.

Any ultrasound pics? Yep! I told my husband the baby looks just like him! :P

[b]How did your appointment go?[/b] Just fine! Everything is perfectly normal at this point. Already did blood tests, went over them and those were as expected too.

[b]Did you doctor address any concerns or questions you had?[/b] Mostly food related questions... we eat a lot of Indian food and that will probably be off the menu for a while. Too many spices, tbh she said that if morning sickness kicks in that cayenne would burn like crazy coming back up.

[b]Any ultrasound pics?[/b] Yep. The size is 16mm now!

[b]When's your next appointment?[/b] In four weeks from now (12 weeks).

How did your appointment go?
Hectic but good! We had weigh in and BP check then drew blood, did a first trimester (but our second) ultrasound, then met with the midwife/NP. Hubby got to go and meet her and our little peanut.
Did you doctor address any concerns or questions you had? I asked about essential oil and natural supplement use as well as mentioned some weird symptoms (heart racing and shortness of breath). She suggested I refrain from supplements because they normally can affect bleeding. All my EOs are good to go and we are going to keep an eye on the symptoms and take notes of when they happen and what could be causing them.

Any ultrasound pics? Yep!
