I'm an Air Force wife :-h Mine is going to be leaving for a year here shortly, so he'll miss it all this time around. We're hoping for a well timed mid tour, but you just never know with this life! I should add that this is our fifth deployment in our eight years together, so feel free to message me about whatever!

  • Hi! Marine wife here though hubby is now active duty reserve after 4 tours overseas! He's law enforcement now and often away at night or for long weekends. Hang in there! Always glad to talk! When are you due? I have my first ultrasound 10/5 but think about 5/15/16 is due date!
  • Army wife here, hubby leaves this week for 9 months. This is the second time he'll miss the birth of one of our kiddos
  • Me! Thankful no deployments on the horizon for us right now. He did 3 tours, and just like you, Carolinemac77, came back a few weeks before our 1st baby was born. Then he left again when our little one was 3 weeks old, so I've been there :(
You ladies are so strong on the outside, but I know how much it hurts on the inside. Hugs to you, and prayers for safe deployments for your husbands.
  • I'm an Army Reservist wife. They are currently discussing a deployment for DH's unit so my fingers are crossed that they decide not to send them! He was gone for a month when DD was 4 weeks old and that was so hard. I couldn't imagine being alone for longer/with 2.

Hi I'm from the February Board. I'm due the 8th (20weeks3d). My husband is in the Air Force, we live in South Cali. My husband just got back from a deployment in February so we are good on that for a while. He's been in 8 years as of July and already re-enlisted as well. I'm pregnant with our fourth baby. My husband did miss our first child's birth but luckily has been here for our other kids births. :)
  • So far May 17. But I have an appointment on October 5. So that may change!
  • I'm an Air Force wife. I don't think he'll get deployed anytime soon, but he goes TDY nearly every week. Not that I'm complaining. I'll take 4 TDYs in one month if it means no deployments. :)
  • My husband leaves in December and won't be back until late July or early August! So he will miss the birth of his second child! He hasn't been on deployment since we've been married with kids here as well as expecting so this is a new experience for us!
  • USMC wife here stationed in NC. Feel free to message me :)
  • ARNG wife, they're discussing a deployment but nothing is set in stone at the moment. Fingers crossed for no deployment anytime soon. This is our first baby and as far as we know he'll still be here for the birth. :)
  • I'm an Army wife but from New Zealand. Hubby is away at present but only for another month and likely he'll go away again before the baby comes for a 3 month deployment. It's our first so that makes it harder!
  • Navy wife here. Pregnant with our first, due May 6. Hubby and I PCS in December and he (as of now) is due to deploy sometime in June, so could be just a few weeks after baby is born. This will be our first deployment together (this will be his 5th in 8 years enlisted) so it will be very tough. To boot, I got diagnosed with fibromyalgia in January 2015 and have Hashimotos disease as well. Thankfully these pregnancy hormones have kept my fibro flares at bay, but I've heard that about 6 weeks after giving birth, when hormones start to level out, symptoms will return. So so afraid knowing my state when I flare, to be dealing with a newborn, across the country from my family, and with my husband deployed. I guess that's what we military wives do right?!
  • Hi! Army wife here! We PCS in January and have to find a way to get out of Alaska that doesn't involve driving on desolate tundra roads out of Canada! :) so that's been a little bit of a stress. But no deployments in the near future so I'm super thrilled about that of course! Hi, everyone!
  • I'm an Army wife! We're at Fort Polk, and my hubby works with CID (Army FBI). Deployments for them are far and few between, praise God! This is our first pregnancy and we're due sometime late May to early June. We get the due date in 2 weeks. I can't wait!
  • Marine Wife here. First child and my husband has done 3 tours already. He got put on the list for going to a rank class for 1 month then turns right around to go to Recruiting school for 3 months. He won't be back until right around our supposed due date (May 20), but that date may change. And we're moving stations as soon as he gets back too. It's going to be an interesting journey!
  • USCG wife. :)
  • Army wife here. My due date is 05/21/2016!! There's talk of him leaving for a year. Fingers crossed to him staying!!
  • I'm an Army wife and a Navy vet. DH is a surgery resident so I'm used to his hours - I barely see him, but we know he won't get deployed while he finishes residency. He does go TDY for a month for a trauma rotation but he'll be back before my EDD of May 23.
