So Different from the First One!

This pregnant has been so different from the first one. My first with my daughter I was sick almost everyday and my sense of smell was on overdrive. Other than that I didn't have any other symptoms for the first trimester. However, with baby number 2 the list is massively longer! I bobs feel so heavy and are sore constantly, I get nauseous at least once every other day but I have yet to get sick, I am so bloated it's exhausting, I have to pee every hour, everything makes me cry and I mean EVERYTHING, and last but not least I eat ALL THE TIME! I know that no two pregnancies are the same but my two couldn't be anymore different. Any other mommies feeling this way?

  • Yep! My first pregnancy was a breeze this one is tough for sure!! They really are right when they say no pregnancy is the same!

  • I feel you!  With my son I had some on and off nausea at night for a few weeks but with this pregnancy I was nauseous from 1030 am (could set an alarm by it) to 11 at night for about 6 weeks. Starting at 10 weeks I started to feel much better.   I am also just so exhausted all the time.  It could be chasing a 2 year old around but I am in bed by 930/10 most nights.  The food cravings are also totally different.  With my first I wanted fried chicken in milkshakes (which probably lead to the 50lb weight gain) but this time around all I want is salads and veggies.
  • Yep, my first was a lot easier.
  • With my first, I couldn't wait to have a belly so I felt pregnant. Now, the nausea, sore boobs, constant trips to the bathroom, stuffy nose, etc. remind me daily that something is going on. Finally turning a corner though and haven't been nauseous all week! Knock on wood!

  • Same here! With DD I was sick everyday and every night. Then I hit the second trimester and it let up but I started to get really swollen and then back pain and insomnia. Then the third trimester I had insomnia, back pain, exhaustion, swollen, and high blood pressure. This time I am nauseous about 4 days a week, but have only puked 4-5 times total. I'm exhausted from running around after DD. Have back pain, shortness of breath, and every night after putting DD to bed I can feel all my insides getting pushed up. At least that's what I think it is. It's kind of a mix between bloating and a contraction and my doctor said it was just everything moving around to make room for baby. Oh and I also have extremely sharp pain when my bladder gets to full. ITS GREAT FUN!!! :)
