Vaginal Cramping and Pain

Hi ladies. I tried searching this, but I couldn't find a discussion for it. If there is one similar please point me in the right direction.

For a while now I've been feeling occasional cramping and pain/discomfort in my "down under" region. It feels like period cramps, like right where the outer lips are down there. It's not constant. It happens every couple days or so, and the pain varies from slightly severe to mild. It's worst while I'm standing and walking and eases when I sit down. It also happens every time after SO and I have sex, which isn't too often because it does hurt me so much after and because he's away at work for weeks at a time. But when it does happen after sex it's very very severe and lasts a while.

I should mention I'm 29 weeks. So far I have had a complication-free, healthy pregnancy. I'm just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this or has experienced this and can give me some advice.

    I had pain and discomfort and found out I had a varicose vain in my vulva I had my consultant take a look

    Never hurts to give your doctor a call and have them check you out. They may do an unltrasound or a cervix check to make sure everything is still ok. I know it's annoying to call and go there just to be told that everything is fine and its normal pregnancy pain, but it's it's something serious better to catch it earlier.

    I am having this same problem. (not after sex but I just started to hurt for no reason) I went to be checked yesterday they did a NST and a test to make sure I wasn't going into labor. Everything was normal and was told to hydrate and rest. The baby may have just moved and she's causing pressure/pain. It's better to just get checked

    I have the same problem. I asked my doctor at my last appt. She asked if I had varicose veins I said no. She said the farther along you get that area gets more pressure on it and less blood flow. She said its nothing to worry about bt if it gets unbearable to let her know and they can prescribe something. That's just me tho. Yours could be different I would definitely ask ur doc at ur next appt to be on the safe side. Good luck!

    I just came home from the hospital with the same issue, just no cramping. I'm 30 weeks today and I had throbbing pain in vaginal area for the past 2 days. I called my dr, and they made me go right to the PET unit at my hospital to get checked. Luckily everythinh was ok. They said that the baby is probably getting in position and is laying on a nerve causing pain and discomfort. I was scared but it's always better to call ur doctor and get checked.
