Rice Cereal & Formula

Hello All! I apologize if this has been asked before however, does anyone have any tips on mixing/dessolving rice cereal with formula? LO is 10 weeks, 12 lbs 8oz and has bad reflux. Dr said to mix 1tsp rice cereal per 1 oz formula but it keeps getting stuck in the nipple. Help! And thank you in advance :)

    My doctor recommended this as well! I've been kind of hesitant to try it, but I'm following because I'm curious if it has worked for others!

    There are nipples made especially for those who need to mix rice cereal in bottles. Maybe try that?

    If you're already using formula, you can try AR (anti-reflux) formula. Our hospital has us use it and it's great. It's the same idea, just already mixed. We have to use a level 2 nipple for Dr. Brown's bottles in order for it to flow fast enough and not get gummed up.

    I notice when I warm the cereal and Similac on the stove in a pot, it dissolves better and DS tolerates it better.
