  • I've used the preparation h for women wipes (let it sorta sit between your buttcheeks for a while haha), gentle walking/kegals to increase circulation, and laid on my left side as much as possible.  And TONS of water.  It cleared up within a week.

  • Tucks
    Prep h max cream
Warm baths to soak your butt in

They suck but this will shrink them for the time being. Just an FYI be prepared for them to come back after delivery. This is how I got mine to begin with!

  • Prep H wipes and a hot water bottle on the area.
  • All for the tuck!
  • I bought a bottle of witch hazel and some small pads to wipe the area with and it helps. I also take occasional baths with Epsom salt.

    ^^This!
Also, Sitz baths and trying to "blot" instead of wiping too vigorously. I use Cotonelle wet cloths after each BM to clean up easier than just with regular toilet paper. What pain killers were you taking? If they were narcotics or opioids that's no good because those will back you up like you wouldn't believe and hemorrhoid are not far behind.
In terms of preventing them in the future if they clear up before delivery:
Also I have been taking stool softener every day since about week 10 when I was put on Zofran for HG (I already have constipation issues when I'm not pregnant but with the pregnancy and medication notorious for causing constipation it was sometimes a week or a week and a half between BM's.
My OB also gave the green light on Miralax since it isn't a stimulant laxative but said to avoid stimulant laxatives because they can irritate the uterus and cause contractions (I've already had multiple PTL issues so I wouldn't even try if I was desperate.
Maybe ask your GP about glycerine suppositories as well? I use these as a last resort because they are not comfortable but they do work...they just make my bowels feel horrible.
Lots of water and a very high fiber diet will help keep things moving better in the future.
