Hey everyone!! Im 28 weeks along & For the past week I have had upper abdominal soreness and aching . It's like right around the top of my belly close but not right under my breast and it goes all the way around my back..anyone else experiencing this?? This is my fourth but don't remember this with the others but it has been almost 7 Years ago! I am thinking it's just my uterus moving up and baby growing ...anybody else have this?? Thanks!!

  • It could also be what I like to call "the great rib migration" - rib movement causes muscles to be more sore from pressure and to feel pains.

  • That's what I was thinking it might be also but like I said I didn't remember this with my others! Lol guess I'm getting old haha, thanks for responding!
  • I have had the exact same feeling for about a month (I'm 31 weeks now). It's like rib pain, but then you feel like there's air trapped in your upper back. Usually I rub my ribcage and take an antacid and it goes away. I personally think it's a type of heartburn, because the other day I felt rib pain from the uterus growing and it was different- more like a soreness.
  • Yes! That's exactly what it feels like! But it worsens after I eat! So I guess I need to so smaller meals but it's so hard to do once I start eating lol
  • Yes, I am right there with you. Mine is worse on one side. I think it's the ribs moving. The only thing that is really helping me is trying to have good posture. It hurts when I slouch, so sitting up really straight feels like relief.
