Is anyone else afraid to have sex now that they are pregnant?

I'm 5 weeks 4 days. I had a MC in July. The night before the MC started husband and I had sex. Doctor says it could in no way have caused the MC but I'm still nervous to have sexual relations with my husband in fear of something happening again and forever blaming myself. Anyone else feel this way?

I understand the reason you are hesitant. I've not felt like it and only have once. Maybe having a conversation with your doctor or nurse for assurance may help.

If you use the search function you will find two other (maybe more) threads on the sex topic with lots of ladies in the same boat. Some just don't have the sex drive at the moment and some are nervous about it.

My drive has been minimal but once my doc said it was safe I decided it give it a go. I found once things were in action I got into it. No spotting or pain for me but everyone is different. I tend to be a bit uncomfortable a day or so after though...just ultra sensitive after.

I am in the same boat as you!! Except its the other way around. I have also had a mc earlier in the year and was devastated by it. It was declared as a chemical mc
Now that i am 6weeks pregnant now my bf is so afraid to have sex- he " doesnt want to hurt the baby" i keep reassuring him he wont, but i think he needs to hear it from a doc. Which is annoying because momma needs her sugar!

I think your feelings are completely normal. I'm a little more relaxed this time, but with my first pregnancy I was so nervous to have sex early on.

I don't really worry that sex will cause a miscarriage, but every time we have sex I worry we'll finish and there will be a huge pool of blood, lol. Just like every time I go to the bathroom I worry there will be blood.

That being said, I'm finding sex to be GREAT at helping with my nausea and exhaustion, ha! Just takes a little longer to get warmed up

If I'm being honest there's no way I can even go a week without sex. I have no fears about it and thankfully DH doesn't either.. yet. I hope he doesn't start when I start showing! *TMI kinda* Now that I'm pregnant I feel like sex feels better too, which is pretty amazing because it felt good before.

Kind of nervous because I'm on progesterone supplements and they make your cervix lining thin apparently, which can cause bleeding. I'm just terrified to see bleeding, period. So I'm thinking I will hold off for now except for the occasional VERY gentle and slow version.

Yes! Also have had mc. The same ...i KNOW it had nothing to do with it. But so scary. But sucks I've been super riled up with all these hormones so I'm stuck in this place where I want my husband so bad but also so scared. I just take a deep breath and try and relax. I talked with him and let him know how 8m feeling. So we're going a little slower, nothing rough these days. Hope your S.O. is someone you feel comfortable talking to about these issues.

I just started my progesterone too. We have an appointment in 2 weeks and will ask then when the best time is. Prolly not good before i apply and cant do it after bc its like 2 little beads shoved up there hahaha. Mornings are gross as they leak over night (need to lie flat for them to absorb) and i too am petrified of bleeding. M/C in may at 10 weeks measured only at 6 ya a whole month of thinking im pregnant with litle to no signs with docs and nurses telling me im a lucky one to not have symptoms... i just want to know my baby is okay!

I am afraid to have sex! Every time we have, I've spotted the next day or even that night. One day I had a small clot. My SO won't take no for an answer every time so I give in at least twice a week, but I also have no sex drive. I hate even being touched right now. My dr said it is normal to feel this way and that many women bleed post sex in first tri, but it still freaks me out! My first US is Friday, so I told him no more sex until after.
