Is severe pelvic pain normal?

I am 35 weeks pregnant and i know my girl is way down in my hips so i know thats going to have something to do with the pain. But for about 4 days on the right side of vagina the bone thats next to it hurts so bad i scream in pain, someone has to help me out of bed and get dressed. No heating pads ice packs shower or baths will help. Went to the doctor they didnt even look at me and just said its normal round ligament pain.... i feel its not the right answer but everyone else around me said its what it is. Just in my gut i think its something more than just that. Please help!

    Is it your pubic symphysis? That's supposed to open up and get loose for delivery. But if it's severe, I'd have it looked at, find someone who listens. I had severe pelvic pain and it turns out my sacroiliac joints were misaligned. I did three weeks of PT and it helped a LOT!

    Anything "severe" I would check with your doctor right away.
