Just for fun, during your first 2 pregnancies, did you feel the same symptoms and if so, did both babies end up being the same sex? I'm pregnant with my second, just wondering if symptoms align with the sex of the baby.

Re: Question for pregnant Moms of 3 or more.

  • With my first two pregnancies, both boys, I was almost immediately sick and lost around 20 pounds with each of them. I also lived off of sugar and plain carbs.

With this pregnancy I am nearing 6 weeks and haven't felt queasy once. All I eat is meat and spicey food. I've been eating tons of salads, which couldn't have ever eaten with my boys.

So I guess I will have to let you know in about 14 weeks if all of that means this one is a girl. Boys and Girl pregnancies have been very different for all the woman in my family.

  • I felt the same with both my daughter and my son, but my skin was terrible with my daughter (my first) and totally fine with my son.  I'm not sure if that's because of the sex difference or because my body was used to it the second time around.

  • My first two were boys and no sickness my third was a girl and sick from 6 weeks on and this time around I'm off and on sick so not sure what to think!
  • I felt fabulous with my son (1st baby) and was blah/nauseous with my daughter in the first trimester. We didn't find out the sex ahead of time for either.
  • I have had no symptoms at all. I have had amazing pregnancies and deliveries. I'm pregnant with my fourth. This baby is a boy. My first is a boy and my second/third child are girls.
  • My first 2 were girls and the pregnancies were very much the same. Severe nausea starting at 6 weeks, vomiting starting at 7. This time, the nausea has been killer but I haven't thrown up yet. With the girls I just wanted citrus fruit, this time I am craving frozen stuff and carbs.
  • Thanks for everyone who participated! I guess this goes to show that there isn't a science on determining the sex of the baby! Every pregnancy is different!
