Prayers needed...adult loss mentioned

My family just can't seem to catch a break. In July I lost my grandpa (mom's dad). Today, I lost my other grandpa. It just sucks. My girls aren't even 4 months old and this will be their second funeral. Any prayers for my family and myself would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

I'm so sorry. My family has been through similar loss this year. I still don't know what to tell you, other than it sucks so so bad. And lean on family when you can - that's been the biggest source of comfort for me. Your grandfathers will live on if you keep their memories alive.
We try to talk about my grandfather every day, telling stories and using phrases he used. I agree that the worst part is the unknown loss for LO.

PS, I was worried by your thread post that something happened to a baby because of the "loss mentioned." Up to you, and I don't know the norms, but I personally found it misleading. All loss is devastating and I am not privileging one family member over the other. Again, my sincerest sympathies to you and your family.

We just lost my grandfather a month ago. LO's middle name is his first name so it was very hard. I completely understand what you're going through and my T&P are with you and your family during this difficult time.

I feel bad for my dh. He lost his dad back in 2001. His dad was military, so he had the military funeral. My grandpa will also have the military funeral. We've been to one funeral of a great uncle of mine that had the same. My dh had actually never met him, but he was also military, and when they did the gun salute, my dh started crying really hard. It brought him back to burying his dad. This time I am afraid will hit him extra hard, as he knows my grandpa fairly well. I just pray I can be there for him as well.
