Too many poopy diapers?

My daughter is almost 3 weeks old and she rarely has just a wet diaper. Usually every time we change her it's wet+ BM. Which is several times a day. I am breastfeeding her and pumping with bottle feeding. Just wondering if this is normal. Seems like a lot of poopy diapers.

    According to KellyMom.com:

    Dirty diapers: Expect 3-4+ stools daily that are the size of a US quarter (2.5 cm) or larger. Some babies stool every time they nurse, or even more often–this is normal, too. The normal stool of a breastfed baby is yellow and loose (soft to runny) and may be seedy or curdy. After 4 – 6 weeks, some babies stool less frequently, with stools as infrequent as one every 7-10 days. As long as baby is gaining well, this is normal.

    Call your Pedi if you are concerned though.

    DD pooped in every dirty diaper early on as well.  Somewhere around 8-10 weeks (I don't remember exactly) we started to see more diapers that were just wet without stool.  She still probably poops at least 4-5 times a day (14 weeks), but we frequently see diapers that are just wet as well, especially overnight and mid-day.

    Like PP said its normal to have a BM every time she eats. This may continue for quite awhile. My son was having several poopy diapers a day until we started solids. And even now, he may poop 3-4 times a day.

    Same here, poops like a little man. What had my mind blown was the constant pooping WHILE eating. My pediatrician had to giggle when she told me boob-milk babies tend to do that for awhile. He's 10weeks old tomorrow and now most are post-meal, but I still giggle like the child I am whenever he does it while eating.

    When the milk comes in its transitional milk for a month which still has a lot of colostrum. Colostrum has a laxative effect so a BF baby will have more poops the 1st month. My Lil guy is 5 weeks and I just started changing pee-only diapers yesterday.

    Until about 3 weeks old my son had a BM with every diaper change. Now he is 4 weeks and has about 4 a day.
