My husband loves to elaborately snap our LO. @ChardeeMacDennis I'm 30 too, and it took me a min to get into it, but now it's my preferred method of communication
The new filters are funny but there's a video circulating on FB of parents making their toddlers do that scary face one and the kids are screaming and scared and it just broke my heart. To see their kids so scared and confused about why their face was now a demon, and to hear the parents laughing made me so sad. One 2 year old girl was like "no...I scared...I scared..." God damn I'm soft but...poor kids.

Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.

I seen it too, I did laugh but idk if I could do that to my babies!
I tried snapchat once and I was so confused. I'll be 30 in November so I guess I'm old now.
Me too! On both accounts.
I'm older than both of you and I've never even bothered. Mostly because I don't see the point. So you take a picture of something, and type something, and send it. And this is different from sending a picture via text message how? 'Oh, but the pictures are deleted after'. So I don't even get to keep the photo of the thing that was so cute / awesome / weird / whatever that I decided to take a photo of it in the first place? And every. Single. Interaction. Has to be accompanied by a photo? What if I don't have that much stuff to photo? Do I just photo my shoelaces or something boring because I'm still talking to this person?
So, now I sound even older than y'all. Cause I'm doing the digital equivalent of 'what's wrong with writing a letter on paper and putting it in an envelope and mailing it? Why don't you just do that? What's the point of this 'e-mail' people are using?'

Our kids will take a picture of there shirt over and over...? Why not send a text? "Its not the same" oh and our girls have to put on make up and get "snap chat ready" Pssht
I'll be 31 in November and I downloaded it a couple weeks ago. My reason is that I have crappy cell service at work and can't get texts or calls. If my SIL is at my inlaws house when MIL is babysitting or when DH has LO on Fridays, they can snap chat me while I'm connected to wifi. I don't really understand how it works, though and half the time I forget to add text.
