I'm 12 weeks PP I stopped breastfeeding my LO about 1 month ago and on Thursday evening I got my period. I'm going on my 3rd day today... It's heavy. I have to change pads every 3-4 hours I'm having cramps, headaches and nausea. Is this normal?!?
My first pp period was really heavy and I had headaches as well. I didn't have any nausea though. Mine was 6 weeks postpartum while ebf. So I think it's pretty normal for them to be bad when first starting back up.
My first one pp was not too bad, I got it about 8 weeks pp. Not much red blood it was old blood looking. I had terrible headaches. I have my second period pp right now I am 12 weeks pp and this one is while on bc. I was super nausea, bad headaches, but no cramps. I think bc helps with cramps because I used to get them so bad they felt like contractions sometimes. I would say kind of normal, but I don't know what your norm is. If you are feeling very yucky maybe make an appt just in case.
I'm 8 weeks PP and I recently had sex and started spotting after that. I thought it was my period and was super bummed. Definitely not close to a period. So I'm thinking it's not. I'm expecting it to be terrible (that's what they say) No other symptoms like dip in supply, no noticible cramping, and it's not heavy. But I still am EFB. I heard it can come back worse so maybe that's it. If these aren't normal period symptoms for you then I'd take it easy, drink lots of water, and see if that's helps. Maybe put a call in to your doc to make sure.
I had my first about 6 weeks pp and we stopped breastfeeding at 4. I'm now just starting my second one since having her and the first one for me was very heavy and lasted 7 days. This time around it seems more like the typical ones I had before I got pregnant.
Re: Period! TMI & FTM
Mine were never bad, I'd feel gross the first day but I never got bad cramps or bled heavily. I hope it doesn't come back with a vengeance
