Please don't. I keep reading all these posts about castor oil and other inducing methods because we are all so uncomfortable, but these methods may not produce the desired outcome.
I did not induce but my baby came at 35 weeks anyway. She is going on day 11 in the NICU and will probably be there another week. Words cannot describe how terrible it is to leave her in an incubator every night instead of taking her home.
This post is not meant to be dramatic nor a "be lucky you're still pregnant" rant. I just want you all to know that this uncomfortable state will be over soon enough that we don't have to do anything drastic. I was in a lot of pain the last two weeks due to baby sitting directly on my pelvis. I would rather deal with that again than seeing her struggling to breathe and eat outside the womb, which is what I currently doing.
Re: To everyone looking to induce early
I'm referring to the women who are talking about using oils and other unnatural ways much earlier than 39 weeks, and the last month there have been multiple posts about it, which is disconcerting.
At this point, the pineapple is much more enjoyable than anything else!
I am being induced for medical reasons on Sunday and I'm kinda bummed because I will likely not experience going into labor on my own (unless baby girl decides to be born in the next 6 days). But gotta do what is best for her. That being said, I might buy some pineapple today.
