hey im new around here. 1st pregnancy, 29 years old. i have a bicornuate uterus which is when it is shaped like a side ways 8 in the middle creating 2 spaces/areas and less space for the baby to grow. is heart shaped the same? i looked online about my condition and it is scary since most places talk about miscarriages ... my doctor doesnt seem too preocupied for now he just said the baby probably might come early since he has less space to fully grow. i read that people with is conditionhave surgery in order to have a safe all the way pregnancy. other people as the babies grows he pushes out the uterus creating more space and everything is ok. hopefully things will turn out ok for us. and trust our doctors to know the best for us and our babies.
im at 7w5d and will have an ultrasound at 12weeks and will let tou know what i hear. let me know how things develop over there.
My sister has a heart shaped uterus, and struggled with miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies, and ABS in one of her pregnancies. The doctors told her it is harder to carry a child with a heart shaped uterus. However, she has two amazingly healthy girls. She was just glad to know the reason why sometimes TTC was so tough on her.
