okay, so I haven't called my doc yet because I have an appointment next week and I really want to try to stick it out, but this is killing me! I have the worst pain in what feels like my vagina but I know it's the pelvic arch. Everytime I try to get up, move in bed, walk the wrong way, put pants on, it seriously feels like I'm ripping my pelvic bone in apart. I've tried Tylenol for the pain and that's done nothing, it just seems to be getting worse!!
Help mommies!
Re: Serious pelvic pain
The pain hasn't gone away but has subsided. I do take Tylenol and it helps some. The pain is going on a week and a few days. I know it's going to get much worse as she grows and I expand to accommodate her.
I've never heard of PSD and the doc didn't mention it. I'm wondering if that's what's going on as well with me!
Thank you for the post! I hope you feel better! If I were you, I would call my doctor and be seen. The ultrasound really gave me peace of mind. The doctor, tech, and I could clearly see everything was okay and that it wasn't preterm labor or dilation.
Good luck!
Anyway, last night I had an Epsom salt bath. I made it a little too cool as I was worried about getting overheated, but I added about a cup of Epsom salts. I didn't really feel a difference afterwards, but when I woke up this morning I felt amazing! I don't know how long the relief will last, but I would recommend trying it. I am going to ask my midwife tomorrow how often I can take them. I haven't felt this way in over a month, it's fantastic!
Thought I would share
Unfortunately, if you have the pelvic pain, you'll most likely have it the rest of the pregnancy. I've learned to just accept it, be cautious of my movements, take breaks as needed, get as much rest as possible, and do some hip opening and strengthening stretches before getting into bed, as soon as I get up, and throughout the day as needed.
I know I don't have it as bad as some of you do, but I understand the pain, discomfort, and frustration that comes with it. I've definitely had my share of feeling crippled and broken! Hang in there ladies! We are almost done.
I also have sciatic pain but that is on the left and probably left over from playing roller derby.
