SOOOO uncomfortable!!

FTM, I'll be 37 weeks Tuesday and my next appt is tomorrow (Mon) morning. I cannot sit still for more than a minute without being in pain. Lower and upper back are both in extreme, dull, achey pain that I can't get to go away no matter what I do. I am feeling miserable and day-to-day activities are so hard to complete. Any other moms feeling this miserable? I just want to cry!!

  • Yes you are not alone! I'm 35 weeks 2 days and feel miserable. Baby is up in my lungs I feel like and anytime I eat I feel miserable!

  • I cried yesterday, mostly from my belly being so big and tight. Some days are better than others. My legs can't seem to support my upper half anymore. My scheduled c-section is Friday so I'm trying to be strong.
  • Riding in the car is the worst at this stage. I had an appt Friday and I had to sit in this really awkward position the whole way, just because my back and right side felt strained.

Yes, me too! I feel like a 90 year old woman. I'm 37+5. Can't get comfortable in any position anymore. The only things that are comfortable to sit in are reclined chairs, the rocker in the baby's room, or the exercise ball. I think because everything else causes me to sit upright, directly on my pelvic bones. And last night I had to CRAWL up the stairs to bed, my sciatic nerve hurt so bad. Even sleeping is not comfortable anymore. The hip of whichever side I lay on kills me after a while, and I have to turn around, which we all know is not easy these days.
  • I was constantly in pain around that time, I'm currently 39+4 and spend as much time resting as possible. I still have aches and pains, but not nearly as bad as I did weeks 30-36 .

But at least now I'm able to get up and clean, or get myself something without wanting to cry. I figured I'd be feeling worse at this point, but I feel great!
  • I've been feeling soooo achey the past few days. Lower back pain, tummy cramping, and the hips! I left work early yesterday because I needed to get off my feet.
  • @andreaBiel I feel the same way! I was miserable around 28-36 weeks with back pain, rib pain, not being able to breathe, and incredible hip and pelvic pain to the point I would cry when I woke up because I knew it meant I would have to get up out of bed and move. I was begging my husband to carry me up the stairs at night and my swelling was at its peak. Oh man, it was bad- but I guess when the baby dropped I seemed to have gotten much more comfortable. I'm still uncomfortable in bed but it's mainly from only being able to sleep on my left side for the last 7 months and now I only have minor back pain. I feel way better and didn't expect this to happen. I'm quite thankful. I don't know how I would have made it this far if things hadn't changed.
