Baby preferring mommy

Sooooo, my husband and I have noticed that our LO has started to really prefer me over my husband. She will cry when I hand her over to him. This is really disappointing because I rely on his help to get things done and I also have him watch her for an hour on the weekends so I can work out. Understandably, my husband is freaking out over the idea that she will scream while I'm gone. I thought this wouldn't happen for months! Has any of your LOs demonstrated this mommy-preference behavior yet?

    Ugh I'm having this happen too and it's not just with my husband... It's with my parents too! And when they try to get him to sleep he just screams but when they hand him over I have him asleep in minutes! It's making me nervous because I go back to work soon and I'm leaving my son with my mother and my in-laws and I have no idea what to do! I understand how you feel- wish I had some advice!

    The same thing here. My DH told me to leave my DS with him while I went and ran a couple errands. I was so nervous. My DS cried and threw a fit, but eventually realized that's the way it was going to be for the moment. Things are different with mommy then with daddy. He just has to get used to it. We've done this a couple times now and my DS now looks at my DH differently - the same way he looks at me! I think he is beginning to enjoy the differences between me and DH. Plus he's overdosed with way too much mommy time. I love it - but it's mentally not healthy for either of us.

    Thanks everyone! I did some googling and I'm going to have my husband give her a bottle a few times and see what happens!

    This happened to us around the time she was 2 months. She would scream if Daddy held her and only wanted mommy. It lasted for several weeks, but eventually she stopped doing this. It was super frustrating though!! Just know that it's only a phase.
