Crazy inner thigh/ crotch pain along with contractions

Does anyone know if inner thigh pain can be contractions?? I've had contractions off and on the last 2 days.. Been loosing mucus plug for awhile now but now I have sharp stabbing pains in my inner thigh sometimes 1 legs sometimes both. Anyone else with me?

Re: Crazy inner thigh/ crotch pain along with contractions

  • I do, as well as extreme pressure in the vagina area. But no contractions or signs of mucus plug loss. I thought I pulled a groin muscle but my husband thinks it's my pelvis separating getting ready for baby.

  • My chiro said its just from the weight and pressure. I'm 38 weeks and have been having the inner thigh/pelvic pain for a few weeks. It does get batter afte an adjustment though.

  • Is yours a constant pain or sparatic? I've seen the chiropractor previously this is just new. I called my midwife and she said its most likely the baby's position and hopefully the contractions stop.. I'm only 35 +5 wks
  • The inner thigh pain is often due to the extra pressure down there in places where you don't usually have it! I wouldn't consider it a "sign of labor" but you know your body best. Enjoy the baby movement for now, and know it won't be long before you are experiencing the real deal!

  • I've had inner thigh and groin pain for the last month or so. It makes it difficult for me to roll over in bed, walk, and get up from sitting down. It's definitely not comfortable.

I also feel the extreme vaginal pressure. I actually feel like I could push the baby out if I wanted to, the pressure is so bad.. But I also haven't had contractions or mucous plug. My doctor says the baby is very low, but cervix is still pretty thick and not really opening. The pressure is from weight of baby down there. Ugh it's so uncomfortable!
  • I also get this now down my legs. Ive read that its baby pressing against nerves in pelvic area.
