Rolling Over...

So, LO has been pushing himself over when you try to burp him if he doesn't want to burp and would rather have the bottle back. He's been doing that for weeks now. Today, I put him in his boppy pillow on his tummy and him used his legs to push himself up and then next thing I know, he's looking at me. I thought it was just luck so I put him back and he did it again. Third time, I took a video. Little booger is strong and always trying to get somewhere.

Anyone else's LO doing simular things?

Yup my LO rolled from front to back a few days ago and has done it a few times since. Crazy!

Yep both of my boys did that at 3.5 weeks. DS2 is going both ways, 8 weeks 2 days. Their tiny strength amazes me!!!!!

Mine pushes her legs and moves her whole body to where she wants to go! Still not rolling though

Ours has been doing a little navy seals belly crawl across the floor and rolling front to back since week 3!

My little guy is not rolling at all. He is 11 weeks. This is the start of mommy guilt. I only started doing tummy time a few weeks ago and the pediatrician never mentioned anything about doing it. We have some catching up to do.

@PhoenixFrances Lo will catch up. I only started doing tummy time because LO had so much gas and it would help it. He started turning over when I would put him over my shoulder to burp and he wanted the bottle instead so he would just kinda lean to the side and gravity would do the rest. He kinda does the same thing on the boppy pillow except he will use his legs to push himself up a little first. Then, he gets aggravated and will turn over.

My LO would but I'm keeping him little as long as possible I put him back on his back if I see him getting the the side! Haha!

I am so bad about tummy time! LO just screams the entire time so I always give up after a few minutes. I want her to roll though!

LO rolled over the first time at about 2 weeks... I also thought it may have been an accident so we put him back on his tummy and the did it about 5 times in a row. Now he enjoys tummy time but when he's done he'll roll over.

Tummy time is rough for us too. We always try at least once a day but there are always obstacles. Either he just ate and I need to keep him upright for a while and then he falls asleep. Or upon wakening he's hungry so there goes that cycle again. Plus, his head is pretty big and heavy... I feel so bad

My guy doesn't even try to roll over. He also just decided that he hates tummy time this week so that's not helping.

Mine is 11 weeks today and he doesn't roll but maybe because we hold him all the time...there's plenty of time for rolling later, they grow so fast :-(

You don't have to put your LOs on their mats for tummy time. Your belly works just fine!

I frequently use my boppy pillow for tummy time as well.

My LO rolled from front to back by himself for the first time last night. And then he started screaming. I honestly think he scared himself when he did it. We couldn't help but laugh. It was pretty cute.

That is awesome so many LO's are rolling!!! If your LO isn't rolling don't feel guilty or worry - it really isn't expected until 3 months + and even then some can be later! Tummy time is really good though so try to squeeze it in. Big exercise balls work well too

@bbbee414 my little guy is 11 weeks and shows no attempts at all to roll over. I'm not worried or feeling guilty. He will do it when he's ready. I do what I can to help him along, but he will get there.

My girl is lazy and tummy time puts her to sleep. She has the same workout motivation as mommy.

My LO rolled front to back a few times at 4 weeks. Now at 12 weeks he screams bloody murder on his stomach, after about a minute he puts his head on his hands and just sobs. No rolling over. I ask him if he wants us to call CPS for him and then I pick him up. That's how that's going over here.

my LO was a little bit the same at the start. i just started shaking a very noisy rattle which stops the crying and he started lifting him head to look at it.
