Super Moon - who's in labor?

Welp, I was fingers crossed the same super moon that pulls the ocean tides, would pull this baby outta me!

No signs or symptoms of labor and right now it's 8pm EST where I am. Moon viewing is supposed to start now & peak at 10pm.

Anyone go into labor today? ?

(Due on Thursday)

Re: Super Moon - who's in labor?

  • Nothing here yet, we're in the same time zone! My fingers are crossed too! My cervix has already softened & shortened so I'm hoping this will be it! Fingers are crossed...and good luck to you :)

  • Also due Thursday, and on the east coast! And ALSO hoping the gravitational pull helps me out! Was all of 1cm and "softened" at my 39 week apt. I'm ready, come on baby #2!
  • Nothing here, lol, but if it's cloudy where you are like it is here, NASA is streaming the eclipse live beginning at 8 CST:  https://www.ustream.tv/nasahdtv

  • I'm in VT and nothing yet...fingers crossed though, I have my RCS in a week and I'd have no problems if this little lady decides that tonight is the night!! We have a beautiful clear sky and clear view, though, so it will be cool to watch, regardless!

  • 38 weeks today and I've been crampy all day. My doula did send me a text to see how I was feeling so there's definitely some legitimacy!

  • I've been hoping allll day. On Friday I was 1cm dilated, 90% effaced and with an anterior cervix. I was hoping this super moon would coax this little boy out! Lots and lots of BH but nothing more :(
  • Due the 4th. Been having TONS of lightning crotch all evening plus a few sporadic contractions but really I think it's all just wishful thinking since I'm already 3 days past when dd1 came and just anxious. I've been telling her all day (well since Thursday really ha!) she is more than welcome to come whenever she wants now.
  • Love all the updates, I'm in CT . I was totally wishing the moon would do it, but the night isn't over!

Wishing luck to all of you ladies!
  • I'm 37 weeks 3 cm, have been have contractions since Wednesday morning and I lost my mucus plug yesterday morning! My fingers are crossed that something happens tonight!!!
  • It's 8:15pm PST here and nothing so far! I'm also due Thursday. I have had some cramping and pooed a lot today (sorry tmi).. Plus we had some spicy Mexican food for dinner! Is there a "rain dance" equivalent we ladies can do? Lol! Or maybe we should start bouncing on our yoga balls together! Come on babies!
  • In AZ, 2 cm dilated 75% effaced went outside did some squats tried pretty much everything have some sporadic contractions and cramping but nothing this little one is in for the long haul.
  • 39 weeks today and I was also hoping things would get moving. Nothing yet!!
  • I wish!!!

    I'm so done..
  • I wish! I still have three weeks, though.
  • 39 weeks over here and so far only a few contractions but nothing stable or promising. :( Going to try to get some intimate time in with the hubby to try to get things going!
  • No luck here either... was kinda hoping for a super moon baby. But little girl technically still has 3 weeks to go...

  • Yay congrats Super moon mommas!
    :):):)
  • Was hoping for a super moon baby too....but no such luck. Congrats to all you mommas.
  • Congrats @blsav23!!! So excited for you.
  • I was desperately hoping here in Colo! I even tried sex too thinking altogether it would kick start labor.

Congrats to all who had their babies with the help of the Lunar Eclipse.  There's still hope for the rest of us with the Full Moon tonight!

  • I am 38 weeks today and I had contractions start early this morning 2am ish but then a little after 6 am they went away!
  • My son was due Oct 1 and was born Sunday at 1207pm so not sure if that counts as a "super moon" baby or not, since it was during the day. ...
  • @aprosch thank you so much!! It's been such a whirlwind. Both babies are currently in NICU but overall, doing well. Hudson is having a little difficulty breathing & Conrad isn't wanting to eat & maintain body temp. I will probably leave before them but am happy they are doing well & that I made it to almost 36 weeks.
