has anyone ever heard of this or used it?? I am very curious. I mean if the nose frida works so well, this is the same company, it probably couldn't hurt to try. Thoughts???
Never used it but love the nosefrida. Some of the ladies on my last BMB used it and had good experiences. We use the infant gas drops and had wonderful luck with them.
I'd never heard of this product until it came up in the 'snot sucker' thread, but I'm not tempted to get one. With DS I used gripe water, tummy massage and 'bicycle leg' exercises. That said, if gas discomfort was still a problem after these interventions I would certainly reconsider a product like this.
Obviously just like the nose Frida. Suck the gas right out! :-O
Lol my husband asked if you literally sucked the gas out with your mouth. From all of the reviews I've read, you basically massage the baby's tummy and insert the tube and the gas comes out. You're suppose to actually hear it come out! I'm going to buy a box to have if necessary.
I had mentioned this in the Nose Frida thread- I hadn't heard of it until I recently visited a friend who had a baby in July. She swears by it, and it definitely seemed to work magic on her gassy baby. This past weekend was my baby shower, and she got me a couple of boxes, so I guess I'll find out for myself!
Also, it was pretty hilarious seeing my mom and MIL (and other older women with kids) react to the Windi and Nose Frida! Needless to say, they were skeptical.
Edit: spelling

I would honestly never use this without consulting my baby's pediatrician first. Maybe I'm just a paranoid mama, but I'd be too afraid of causing internal damage with something like that.
Total lurker here, but DS had really bad gas/constipation issues for the first 6 or so months of his life. We did mylicon drops in every bottle and did warm baths/massages almost every night, which helped, but wasn't enough. I got some advice to try using a thermometer (with a little vaseline) to relieve him. I would insert it about half an inch and just kind of move it slightly around. What this does is help loosen the muscles. Babies tend to tighten their muscles when they're in pain from gas, so it's difficult for them to relieve themselves. Pretty much as soon as I would insert it, he would pass an insane amount of gas, lol.
Same goes for constipation. If he wasn't pooping, I'd use the thermometer and he'd poop almost instantly.
This product wasn't out when he was a baby, but it's basically the exact same thing as using a thermometer. I think it would be nice to have for your first time trying it since there's a stopper in case your nervous about going too far or what not.
The thermometer trick was a lifesaver with DS! Don't be nervous to try it (or the Windi) if you end up with a super gassy baby. You almost get satisfaction out of it each time because your baby is so much happier after, ha.
That makes sense to me- helping to un-clench in order to pass gas easier. I have heard that, often, more than gas is released and the Windi forms something of a poo cannon. Just a warning.
