Testing negative, yet haven't gotten expected period

How often does this happen and has it happened to you, or someone you know.

My period is due today and I'm still testing negative. My period is like clockwork and is never late.

This is also my first time trying to conceive. My periods are extremely regular and I have a 27-28day cycle.
Today is day 28, that's including counting day 1, the day my period started.

It's possible to be pregnant without a positive test, but it's pretty rare. If you're still not getting a positive test by Monday, consider calling the doctor and asking for a quantitative hCG draw?

Try to be patient.
If your period doesn't come in a day or two test again.

I've had my period be a week late once because stress pushed ovulation back! I only knew that I was gonna be late cause I was tracking temps and ovulation.

No matter how stressed I get, missing my period isn't an option for me.
When extremely stressed, I get nauseas.

As the saying goes, you're regular until you're not. Unless you temped to confirm ovulation it's highly likely that you ovulated later than you normally do. Our bodies are not robots, even as much as we like to think they are, we're human and things are always subject to change. Keep testing every few days. If you go longer than 60 days with no AF and no BFP, call your doc.

Except it is an option. Stress can throw off ovulation at any time. Negative test means you are not pregnant at this time.

Periods are not like clockwork and are not 'late'. You most likely ovulated later then you thought. Were you temping to confirm ovulation? Did you recently come off birth control?

There's no need for an unnecessary blood test. That's what drives up health care costs.

Wait for a few days and then test again. Without a positive pregnancy test, you're not pregnant.

I'll continue to keep testing. No period yet.
I Was never on birth control and my period is never later then day 28! I'm pretty regular!

My friend was pregnant and yes test negative until 3 days after her expected period.
