How Long did you bleed post partum? Tmi

in September 2015 Moms
i know it's different for everyone and can last around 4-6 weeks so I'm just wondering. I'm almost 1 month pp and the bleeding seemed to have lightened to a yellow discharge around a week ago. All of a sudden I'm bleeding bright red again like a regular period. Anyone else experience this?

    Mine will be gone and then the next day I'll have heavy period like bleeding.

    I bled pp about 5-6 weeks, some days it would stop and then hurray, it's back! Lol :) you could always call your OB if you're concerned though.

    I'm 3 weeks out and have very very light bleeding that comes and goes some days

    Almost 4 weeks pp. I had a C section and I'm still bleeding. So annoying!

    If it had lightened to yellow and went back to red, it's usually a sign that you're doing too much. If you've got family or friends to help out, try resting for a day or 2, it'll go back to yellow.

    @jessbruxanovaa I also had a c section and I'm nervous about the bleeding. It seemed like it was letting up and then today it was heavy. Maybe I'm doing too much. 3 weeks postpartum. I went to OBGYN last Tuesday and the nurse said the bleeding could go on and off, just wanted to see if anyone else was having these issues. Sorry if it sounds like I'm rambling, it's 2 am and I have an infant on the boob

    I'm in the exact same spot as you. I had a c section 8/26 and stopped bleeding after 2 1/2 weeks, then tonight have bright red blood- I'm wondering if I started my period again or if it's left over from c Section...

    I bled for about 3 weeks. The first 2 were red, then just a light discharge for a couple of days, then it picked back up for a few days. I've not had any bleeding or discharge in 3 or 4 days now.

    I'm 6 weeks today. It was constant for the first two weeks. Then weeks 3 and 4 it was on and off - one day it would be completely gone and the next it would be bright red (but no real pattern). Weeks 5 and 6 it hasn't been much heavier than regular discharge.

    It's ok, it's 5 am and now I have an infant on the boob lol. Well I'm not going to lie, I didn't really give my body much of a break after the s csection. I've been up and down the stairs (I live in an upstairs apartment). I go to the store and I can walk around like nothing for hours. I feel great but maybe my body just isn't recovering fast enough due to so much activity/movement.

    Thanks for writing back. ...I feel a little better. This is so not fun....baby came and we have a new set of issues to deal with lol....I finally had sushi then freaked out bc I didn't know if I could bf. The worry is real from here on out

    6 weeks pp, 4 weeks pp and about a little less than 2 weeks pp. 3 vaginal births. Just take it easy and don't work your body too hard. The pp bleeding can be on and off.
