I'm just wondering because I see a lot of posts answered with "check out xyz board instead" or people trying to keep this board "organized" with the search feature. Maybe I should put this under the UO thread, but I only really have time for one board and I kinda like reading new threads here about repeat topics because I'm using the app and I don't like digging through long threads. Also, I think it lets us get to know each other better.

But maybe this is just me?
So, how many boards do you use here and which ones are your favorites?

All of this. Really if my BMB looked like the first trimester board I don't think I would spend time on it. If you look at UO some of us are being called "search function police", but when there's five nausea and morning sickness threads on the same page... I think people should feel comfortable posting, but I also think there's common courtesy of at least lurking around and getting a feel for the board before posting. I think it's rude to bust into a room of strangers only being focused on "me me me!" I think that first trimester board is there for a reason and serves its purpose, but the BMB should be more of a community. I have to say I love board organization because it makes navigating easy and I think posts actually get more replies that way. Just my 2 cents.

I just went and responded to her.
I think part of my issue is that I dread seeing lots of replies because I'm on the app and it just means more clunkiness to read through. I should probably start using the web browser on mobile, huh.

I think @vinerie hit the nail on the head. We want newbies to join in on the conversation but we want them to do just that.... Get in on the conversation(s) that have already been started. Introduce themselves on the introduction thread... Add to the EDD thread.... Play the games (NHIE)... Before creating their own thread about morning sickness for the 4th time in one day.
If you're new to any group you would first get to know those already in the group and allow them to get to know you. We're all real people and the same applies here.
Anyway. I'm really glad you brought this up because I understand how those with late May due dates might feel left out and I recognize some of our comments might come across like we're a closed off group looking to flame anyone "not following the rules." I'm hopeful your thread will help clear that up.
Edited because I suck at quoting from my phone.

That being said, I think over the next week or two, we will start to see the group become more of a community and people becoming regulars. It's a growing pain since we are still forming this board (versus TTGP which is a well established board). A community doesn't form overnight, just takes time!
