Infertility

I need clomid

I went to my doctor today and drove 2 hours and spent $300 on an appointment just for them not to prescribe me clomid. I'm livid. She said it'll take months for me to get it.... I'm starting to lose hope and I don't know how much longer I can keep playing this game. Have any of y'all bought clomid off the internet? I don't know what else to do

Please don't do that. Clomid is a extremely dangerous to take if your not being monitored by a specialist. When u start fertility drugs there are many hoops u have to jump through, but they are all necessary, any doctor will tell u this. U need blood work, and an HSG at the very least. It will take at least one monitored cycle before any doctor will prescribe u anything. If it's worth it to u to take clomid, then it should be worth doing the right way. ETA: let's say u took clomid on ur own and didn't first do ur HSG, and it turned out u did have a blocked tube- this would cause serious problems and u could end up losing a tube.

  • I agree with @tripledaggerWed95976 It may take a while but it is worth it to do it the right way. It looks like from your pic your DH is military (marines? The pic is so tiny), if you can get into the mindset that waiting 2 or 3 mths to be monitored is no where near as painful as waiting for DH to return after a year deployment in a CZ then it will be easier!! I try to go into the tww like I used to for a 12mth deployment, makes it seem sooo much easier. It is hard I know, but you can do it and when it is getting too hard, come here!!

  • Please don't buy Clomid off the internet.  I took it under a doctor's care and I was worried about side effects such as cysts, multiples, and thinned lining (which I did have).  Fertility meds are dangerous without proper monitoring and medical care.  You could do a lot more harm than good.  It's much better to do as @tripledaggerWed95976 and @vssbrm suggest and be patient and do it the right way!!  Good luck!

Just a couple questions if you're inclined to answer them - how old are you and how long have you been trying?  Do you have a diagnosed infertility issue?  If the doctor told you it would be months, I was just curious if perhaps they want you to wait the year suggested for women under 35 if you haven't been trying that long.

  • @MelijahRagsdale I'm really sorry. That sounds so frustrating. TTC time is not our friend. That being said I hope there is another solution and you decide against buying Clomid online.
Taking fermara another fertility med, it requires close monitoring and a couple appointments per monitored cycle.
    Sending you good thoughts.
