Eye Color

I love trying to guess what color my babies eyes are going to be. Both my husband and I have hazel eyes. You would think we would have hazel eyed children, well... DS1 has green eyes, DS2 has brown, and DS3 has blue. I know it's too early to tell, but I think DD's eyes are going to turn blue.

Anybody else guess their LO's eye color?

Mine are greenish blue and husband has blue. I hope hers are blue with a greenish tinge. But you never know. We also have blonde hair. We were both tow headed as kids and her hair still looks dark. So who knows

My eyes are green, my husband's are blue and DS1 is blue. I'd love for him to have green since they're unique but we'll see

Both of our etesvare dark brown. DD is Dark brown also. But DS has a lighter tint to his. my gma had hazel Brown eyes, I'm hoping he may end up with them but I know that is pretty unlikely.

DH and I both have hazel eyes. At 7 weeks DS's eyes are pretty dark already.

We both have dark hazel, almost brown eyes. At 9 weeks, his are looking pretty blue.

DH and I both have green eyes (even though he's Italian/Greek- go figure). We did a thing online before she was born to see the odds for each eye color based on our eyes and our families. There was about an 80% chance our children would have green eyes and about 20% chance for blue eyes. Her eyes are a blue/green color. Really gorgeous. I'll try to attach a picture (it's an old pic- sorry!). I think DS will end up with blue eyes too. I don't know why. Just a gut feeling I guess. I'm really excited to see though!

Mine are brown and my husband's are blue. DD1 has brown, and LO has had blue since she was born 5.5 weeks ago. I think they are going to stay blue, but you never know!

I have hazel and my husband's are green. His eyes are gorgeous and it's the first thing that attracted me to him. I hope ds gets his eyes.

Both of us have dark blue eyes with a lighter/green ring around the iris. So far L has pretty dark blue eyes. I'm hoping they stay dark.

@banfrog Hazel eyes come from a combination of genes... That is, you probably both 'carry' recessive blue eye and brown eye genes so your kids could end up with anything really!

I have hazel eyes and H has green. DD has blue so all of us are different! Looking forward to seeing what DS's turn out to be, I'm hoping green but will probably be blue like DD, I'm guessing.

I have dark blue and husband has dark dark brown.. Right now LOs are very prominently blue and I hope they stay!! Besides her big hands, her eyes are the only thing like mine now!

I have brown and DH has blue and LOs eyes are still blue. I'm holding out some hope for a brown eyed girl but I'd be happy with blue too

I have dark brown, DH has medium dark brown eyes, and we are really hoping DS has brown as well. Seems likely, but my mom has blue, and DH's mom's are blue, so we both have the recessive gean. Anything could happen.

I have brown eyes & my DH has blue. DD1 has hazel, DS1 has brown, DS2 has big blue eyes, so I'm going to guess LO will have hazel or brown. DH hopes she's has brown eyes like me

Dh has light brown.
Dd has dark brown.
Ds has grayish, blue.

Husband has light blue, I have dark hazel..almost brown.
Dd1 has blue eyes
Dd2 has the blue grey but blue overtones.. I'm hoping they will be blue

I am homozygous green, DH is blue dominant with recessive green. I think DS will be blue. His eyes are getting steadily brighter blue (7wks old).

My sister and BIL are both homozygous green. Their 3 month old daughter had blue eyes until a couple weeks ago. Now they are a very dark gray. She'll be green eyed.

Hmm.

My eyes are hazel: olive green with gold flecks and an amber ring. I had my baby blues for three years and I was blonde until I was five-ish. Now I have medium brown hair.

DH has gray blue eyes. He has sandy pale brown hair. He was toe headed as a kid, blonde through high school.

DD1's baby blues are starting to turn olive green. She'll probably have hazel eyes and auburn hair. She's strawberry blonde and has pale but not porcelain skin, I would have guessed she'd have her father's eyes but my mom and sister are both freckled porcelain red-heads and they both have green, slightly hazel, eyes.

DD2 has baby blue now. I'm guessing she'll have dark eyes because she has medium brown hair and olive skin now. She seems to have quite a bit of melanin.

On my side we have so much going on genetically that anything is possible!

H's eyes are an unreal blue. Like, the bluest blue eyes. Super clear, light blue. Mine change color. They're either a navy blue, a gray color, or light green. So far LO's eyes are a navy blue with a super light ring around her iris, but my eyes were a medium blue until I was about 7, so only time will tell. (Secretly I hope her eyes end up more like mine. While her dad's eyes are beautiful, all three of my different eye colors are very interesting, and if she happens to end up with one of them I'll be thrilled.)

Hubby and I both have blonde hair, green eyes! Hoping for the same with baby girl.

Edit: his hair LOOKS brownish in photos, but it gets pretty light/golden when he's been in the sun, and likewise for myself.

Mine are brown, but a really nice amber brown and DH's are hazel. I'm not sure which way DS will go!

All my kids had the dark blue eyes at birth. My husband has brown eyes and I have dark green (which look brown from a distance). My oldest son has mostly brown eyes although I do see some green in the sun. My youngest son has brown. My daughter looks to be changing already to darker eyes at 7 weeks so we will see. I assume they will be brown of some sort and not the mailmans eye color.

It looks like Tanner is keeping blue eyes. They are getting to be a lighter blue. I have brown eyes and DH has hazel eyes.

I have blue eyes. DS dad had blue, so DS has blue. DD dad has brown, and so far hers are starting dark. We'll see.
