Partial molar pregnancy??

Im so sorry for everyone's loss and for all of us having to go thru this difficult process. My story is my first pregnancy 3 years ago was a blighted ovum and ended in a d and c. I got pregnant right after and we now have a 2 year old son. We started trying for baby number 2 and at 10 weeks found out it was missed miscarriage. I ended up having a d and c 5 weeks ago. For the past 4 weeks my OB has been having me go in for weekly blood draws which were 9000, 6000, 3000 and the last one was 2000. He called me today and said it was likely a molar pregnancy (which im not even totally clear what that is) and now he wants me to see a specialist to go over the slides and also continue to get weekly blood draws. He also told me we need to wait about 6 months before trying again. Does anyone have any info on this or can make any sense of this? TIA

I think this is where some of the tissue is actually making your body think it is still pregnant. Your doc is probably thinking the numbers should be dropping much faster so there may be retained tissue.

Thank you! I think the 6 month wait is what's gonna make it so hard. My first loss we got the green light after my first cycle.
