Does anything work for morning sickness?

I am nauseated almost all day, every day and nothing I have tried is helpful. I have tried ginger candy, peppermints, preggie pops, ginger ale, eating lots of snacks... Ugh. I hope this ends in a few more weeks.

  • There's a weekly thread for symptoms. I'm sure there's suggestions there.

This, and there's at least 3 nausea posts already on the first page of the board. They all have suggestions.

Nothing worked for me and then I tried this as a last attempt to beat the nausea and if that didn't work at least have something in my belly. These Popsicles are the only thing I've found to help me..
For my sister, she would sip little bits of Pepsi (diet Pepsi works too) and that seemed to work amazingly for her.

  • Try researching taking 25mg of vitamin B6 with half a tablet of unisom, three times a day. Has really taken the edge off for me.
  • I take 25mg of B6 four times a day and half a unisom (probably 100mg?) before bed and am feeling much better.  Good luck!
  • I tried 25mg of B6 3 times a day and half of a unisom which is 12.5mg. Did nothing for me. But I was throwing up all day long, not just nausea.
  • I need help for sure! Running to the bathroom at work is going to get obvious soon. Not to mention if someone walks in while I'm tossing up my lunch!
  • Hello what's unisom please
  • Unisom is a sleeping aid, you can find it at the grocery store or pharmacy

Try to find Sea Bands. They are for motion sickness, but helped me tremendously. You can buy them at Walgreens or any other drug store. They are elastic bands that you wear on your wrists (kind of dorky looking, but I was desperate). There is a plastic piece on the bands, that applies pressure to an acupressure point on your wrist. They were a life saver for me!

  • My nausea is almost gone but the thing that helped my was having homemade fruit smoothies with Banana, frozen berries, fresh squeezed orange juice and yogurt. After some experimenting with each item by itself I found it was actually the bananas that were helping the most. Now I just have half a banana if I am too lazy to make a smoothie.
  • I'm having really bad nausea too, much worse than baby number 1. I'm wearing those seabands for motion sickness and it seems to work!
  • Nothing worked for me. Had to get an IV of fluids yesterday. Hoping the meds work to settle the stomach. Not ready for solid foods yet.
  • Unisom and b6 saved my life
  • I was prescribed Diclegis from my doctor. I had a mommy friend tell me that if you do 200/mg of B6 and regular Unisom, it's pretty much the same thing as diclegis.
