Me time ruined :-(

When my husband came home from work today he told me to take sometime for myself and go get my nails done! I was so excited. Well after getting my nails done I stopped at Dunkin donuts to order coffee and donuts for my sons early morning birthday party on Saturday. I was discussin with the lady how many people there would be to figure out how many munchins to order. Then she said "aww is it for your baby shower" and pointed at my stomach! I was mortified!!! I feel so defeated. I've lost 26lbs already and I'm only 10lbs away from my prepregnancy weight. I'm 5'7 and 130lbs right now, I was feeling pretty good about myself until just then! So now I'm off to drown my sorrows in wine! Thanks for letting me rant.

I agree with @Miz_Liz what a bitch!!! I am sure you look great!!! If it makes you feel any better I just ate ice cream and still have 20 pounds to lose.

5'7 and 130lbs?!?! Girl I wish lol. There's no way you look like your still pregnant at that weight. That's a really very healthy weight. And if you do look bloated at all, it's just because you JUST had a baby and it takes a while for everything to deflate if you catch my drift lol. Don't even sweat that crap... you're seriously doing great. I'm sure you look amazing. Obviously whoever asked you that was just clueless lol.

Aww you've done so well losing that much weight! I'm sure the lady didn't mean to put her foot in it, rather silly thing to say to anyone if you don't know the situation!!! I still look about 5 months preg and would hate somebody to say that to me

After my mom had me she was outside while I was inside napping (not alone) and a friend she hadn't seen in awhile drove by and stopped. They said, "Having another baby?" She just replied, "No thanks, just had one!" To this day she laughs about it. Just laugh it off and know you have a good story of "what not to say" to remember. My what not to do story is of the hair dresser who poked my boobs when I was pregnant with DS...wasn't funny then, but makes me laugh now that anyone could be so ignorant and bold!

You are beautiful, and just ignore these people.

The first day we came home from the hospital I was just happy to have my bundle of joy, and my grandmom pointed at my belly and said I still looked pregnant. Ouch...I was annoyed but since she's in her 80s she gets a pass for saying random inappropriate stuff on repeat.

I'd flick her off.. One of my friends and I went to the grocery store one time and she just hd her baby and she had the baby with her at the store. (Mind you this was when I was pregnant) she said oh you look like your about to pop to my friend. Then she goes on and says this must be your daughter (taking about me.) are you excited to be a grandma.. She is only 25.. Doesn't even look old. I swear the lady was on crack!

Someone asked me when I was due once loooong before I even had remote thoughts about being pregnant. I was out on a first date. I was underweight so the only reason I can think she asked was because I had my hand on my tummy as it was sore. I was mortified but I think she was even more so when I said ' uhhhh I'm not....'
