Diclegis anyone?

At my appointment yesterday, my doctor gave me diclegis for the nausea.  I'm super hesitant to take it because it is supposed to make you drowsy and I work nights and have 4 boys so being drowsy is not an option.  But of course, this nausea is not helping either.  She recommended taking it at night first to see how I handle it.  Anyone take it?  Does it really help with the nausea?

Re: Diclegis anyone?

  • From what I understand, diclegis is essentially the same thing as Vitamin B6 + Unisom.  My doctor recommended 25 mg of B6 1-3 times a day, which I have been doing for the past few days and it has helped me!  My nausea is still there, but not as bad.  I can't speak for the drowsiness because I haven't paired it with Unisom, but I would say try it out.  Worst case scenario is you are too drowsy and stop taking it.

  • Prescribed it as well. Love it!!!!
  • I'm using it. I don't take it regularly through the day cos of the drowsiness but always at night. Try it during the day on a weekend when you're not working to see how you tolerate it. The more you use it the less sedating it becomes
