PSA: Free Sam's Club Membership

Good morning everyone! 

I just wanted to share what I found on another website today. If you are pregnant or have a little one under one year old, you may qualify for a free Sam's Club membership. I say "may" because it's before 8am and I refuse to deal with customer service reps before 9am and a cup (or six) or coffee so I haven't gone after mine yet. It's hard to find anything concrete, but it looks like the promotion ends 9/29. It can be done in store or over the phone - just say you heard about the new mom promotion. 

I love free stuff. It's just a bonus if it's useful.

    This makes me happy and annoyed at the same time.  I literally just bought a Sams Club Membership last Friday. 
    If there's something strange underneath the hood.  Who you gonna call?  Your Doctor.  If there's something weird and it don't look good.  Who you gonna call?  Your Doctor.  Immediately.  If it's new, painful, and possibly pregnancy related get your ass off the internet and call your doctor.  It's for your health and your child's.

    I posted this yesterday. Seems like there's a gimmick but it's legit. You have to call over the phone, a sales rep will call you back, then you go into the store for your picture and what not. But you have to call the number first which is posted in the thread I started last night about it.

    Also be prepared to wait on the phone FOREVER to get ahold of someone.

    The link is also posted in the other thread with the actual instructions!

    I called and when it transferred to a customer service it hung up. Like 6 Times now

    Yeah it takes forever to get through. I did mine last night. I was on hold for like 20 minutes once I finally got through.

    Yep. I put it on speaker and played Yahtzee with buddies. Passed the time pretty nicely.

    I don't know how to gif bc I'm technologically years behind but I will enjoy whatever kind of gif party this turns into

    Yes! Thanks for the tip. Tried calling a few times, but got a busy signal each time, finally on the 15th call or whatever made it through and sat down for the long wait. At one point I had to pee and I was sure that Murphy's law would make it so THAT was the moment I would be taken off hold. Got my membership number and DH and I will head in tonight for our pics to be taken.

    yep it's been 15 minutes. I got nothing to do today and I already cleaned most of our house. So I'll just enjoy the silence of the phone call and watch Netflix.

    Anyone have any luck with this? I've tried calling several times the past few days and every time I'm put on hold with no ring tone or background music, is this what everyone else got? Waited over 2 hours one day.

    You just have to keep calling. I didn't have to wait 2 hours, might have given up, but I have waited like 35 minutes. I would try calling at different times during the day to see if there was a better time to get through.

    Okay thank you. Maybe if i don't get through I'll just go to sams and see if they offer it in store.

    Got mine yesterday. Had my sister call like crazy while I was at work and she finally got thru. Looks like you might be able to contact them via Twitter as well.

    You can also fill out a customer service questionaire with your info and babys dob and it works too!

    I was able to get through! It took about 4-6 phone calls...kept getting busy signal and it would end call but finally got through and put on a hold for 15 minutes before being connected to a customer service rep. She said I should receive a voucher in mail within 2 weeks and just bring in to validate membership.
    Married: 6.28.14

    I was on hold for over 1 hour with silence, for busy signals, was disconnected, finally got through and there was hold music and only a 15-20 minute wait to talk to someone. I think I did it around 3:30pm. Otherwise I was trying around 12-1 and not getting through.

    I got mine 2 days ago after being on hold for 35 mins. I was given a reference number and told I'd have a welcome packet sent out to me in the mail by October 15th and I just had to take the packet in to activate the membership (pictures and such) by November 15th. I'm assuming I could just take the reference number in before I get that and do the same thing?

    I been trying to call but keep getting busy signal and then I get disconnected. To the ladies that did the questionnaire, where can I find it???and how long before you ladies got a response??

    @sullyv23 I got through on the phone last night. I kept getting the busy signal followed by disconnecting, but I tried around 8pm and was on hold for an hour. My advice is to just keep trying, and maybe in the evening? My friend contacted them via Twitter and they had her private message her info so I think you can do it that way too. Good luck, it is frustrating I know!

    @alyssaleighw thanks I finally got a hold of them today. Yesterday I got thru was on hold for over 1hr with no sound and has to hang up because phone run out of battery. Today I called early n after 30min hold finally was able to speak to a rep.

    It can't be done in store you have to call and have them give you a membership number to take to the store.
