All the time. I hate it in work because if I sneeze or someone makes me laugh unexpectedly then I pee a little bit, then I feel so uncomfortable for the rest of my shift!
Kegel exercises help I've heard, and yoga so I'll need to try them!

  • Kegels and some always discreet undies or depends will do the trick for now. Speak to your OB to find out if it is a permanent concern for you.

  • It doesn't go away per se... your sweet baby found a nice comfy place to relax and will be be there until they come out. Once you deliver those muscles will be loose for a bit but it does go away. I did kegels for years and did more when I was pregnant and I still ran to the bathroom so I wouldn't totally pee on myself lol

I will say keep an eye on it... if it's more than a teeny bit def bring it up with your doc. In the meantime get some panty liners because (not to be gross) but the further you get in your pregnancy more stuff starts to leak....
  • I had a horrible cold last week and when I would get going and start having a coughing fit, it would happen to me. I just got some panty liners... That's all I really needed since I would haul ass to the bathroom when it was happening :))
  • This is my second pregnancy. My first one wasn't an issue. It was after my first one, every time I sneeze or cough I have to cross my legs really hard and pray I dont pee my pants lol now being pregnant again I swear I pee my pants on a daily basis. Especially having morning sickness and puking all the time I might as well wear depends. I'm hoping after he arrives that it will go back to normal or I have some major keagel exercises to try.
  • I use pads made specifically for the issue.  Besides the hygiene benefits, It makes me feel less worried to see the leakage is in fact urine.

  • I am also dealing with this. I have a cold now also which makes it much worse everytime I cough or sneeze it's like the flood gates open even if I just went to the bathroom it will get better once you have the baby.
  • After having DD#1 I still have some issues with this. Although it's not as bad as when you have a baby sitting on your bladder. Do your kegels after baby gets here. It will help, but some things will never be the same.

What pads do you use? Or just panty liners

Look for pads on the incontinence isle. It can be a pain to find something that works well I bought some panty liners from the period section and they were paper thin and didn't work well I got some poise ones and they are pretty thin and seem to work well.
  • Yup I use those poise microliners.

Glad you posted this - this is me the last couple days. This cold is driving me crazy for many reasons.

  • I pee myself on a daily basis
  • If it is bladder incontinence there are women's health physical therapist that can help you recover control apparently a lot of women don't do kegels that effectively but pelvic floor exercises can help a lot if done correctly which the therapy helps.
