Could not find the Thursday Random thread... But just wanted to share today was a good day for me. I feel truly blessed,! Today was my birthday and I got to share it with my family but most importantly with my Prince. He's the greatest blessing God can give me. Being able to be a mom to him is so beautiful. It is my first birthday with him in my arms and I could not be more thankful. I hope everyone is having a beautiful night and hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! God bless you guys! :)

  • Happy Birthday, @n3na94 !

Today was a bit rough for me. I had surgery and had a tubal done. It was a little rough right after but much better now! Feel like I had no support from my DH. I think I was just having a rough time. It probably had nothing to do with him.
  • Well DH is at the preseason Avalanche hockey game with friends. I am home with LO. DH came home before game & we went to Moe's original BBQ for dinner! YUM! I just woke up from a nap and ate some seriously amazing caramel pecan thing from the European bakery. Now I'm laying back down since LO is still snoozing. He will probably be up to BF a little later. Until then nighty night!
  • @n3na94 Happy birthday! @beccer123 I hope you have a speedy recovery.

I'm nervous I passed my cold on to LO she seems a little sniffly tonight. I really hope not :(

I hope y'all get to feeling better @PurpleBookmark! My DH has been sick for abt 2 weeks and luckily no one else has been sick with him so far. And thank you!
  • @beccer123 and @purplebookmark -- I hope you both feel better soon!

Despite only sleeping three hours last night and that LO has been sleeping soundly in her bassinet since 8pm, I cannot sleep.  I've been awake with pretty extreme anxiety and crying on/off.  :(:(:(  My midwives diagnosed me with postpartum depression weeks ago, but I rejected the diagnosis.  I may be depressed (anxious) but I know it's because of life circumstances (DH's surgeries, moving next June, my alcoholic parents, etc.) and I really don't want to take meds while breastfeeding.  I'm eating an apple and cheese, hoping that filling my tummy will put me to bed.

LO had her vaccines yesterday and she did really, really well.  I look at my baby and know that everything will be okay.

@wheresilenceismusic , what antidepressant were you prescribed? I take Wellbutrin and breast feed. I also took it while pregnant with both kids. My oldest is 4 and he's fine. Its really is important to take care of yourself. Check with your midwife to see if the Rx is ok to take while BF. I hope you feel better. Depression is a bitch. And could affect your supply. I have an over supply and we joke it could be the medication.
    Hugs to you.
