For those of us who haven't given birth yet, we WILL make it. My doctor was concerned about my pain tolerance during labor and birth because cervix checks are so painful for me. I spent the whole afternoon feeling awful that I wouldn't be able to handle labor,
but, I will make it; I'll get through it.!We'll all make it. Even if we feel like we won't, just remember how many billions of women have done this and how many more will, and that includes us!
So, if you're feeling discouraged for any reason, just take this encouragement and remember we're awesome.
Re: Just a Reminder...
Everyone laughed at me when I said I was going to be going without pain meds and two painmed free births (and kidney stones) later my family still thinks I had a ridiculously low tolerance for pain.
Just use his doubts as motivation to have the birth experience that you want and what is best for you and your baby(whatever that may be), not the one that your doctor thinks you can handle best.
And there is this amazing thing that I affectionately refer to as pregnancy amnesia--once the baby is out and you have a little while to heal, you completely forget how painful it truly was!
I've said before I think the only thing keeping me calmish is that I don't have a choice. She has to come out somehow!
Ftm here. ..kinda freaking out about next week now lol
Pregnancy amnesia is real! Once I heard my son's cry for the first time the traumatic 30 hours prior just melted away and all was right with the world. I'm very much looking forward to it this time around!
I don't get why everyone wets their pants every time the song "Imagine" comes on. I mean, it's a pretty song. But people act like it should be our new national anthem/religious guidebook/standard for every song ever written rolled into one and I just don't get it.
*ducks*
