Is this pain normal?

I am 17 weeks pregnant and this morning woke up with lower abdominal pain on my left side. It's pretty low and to the side and didn't go away after I used the restroom. I don't know if I should be worried. I don't see the doctor till Saturday. Help? First pregnancy .. :-S

    It might be round ligament pain. I've been having some real low pains lately, too. Lots of stretching going on! I hope it passes soon! If not, you can always call your doctor or the nurse.

    Lower abdominal pain/tenderness can also be bowel related (your intestine takes a sharp turn in the left lower abdomen) and gets worse with constipation, The tenderness can last, even after having a bowel movement.

    I had it on the lower right side. It hurt so bad I couldn't get out of bed. Turns out it was a bad case of round ligament pain. My doctor gave me a muscle relaxant because my stomach was so swollen on one side. They had me come in because they assumed it was my appendix. The meds worked for about 12 hours. But even though the pain came back after the meds wore off it was bearable.

    Yeah, it hurts if I move too much on that side or even when I sneeze. It can't be my appendix, I had that removed when I was 15. The doctor will most likely tell me it's just the round ligament pain, I hope.

    I'm 18weeks today and have had horrible lower pain. My Dr said it could be round ligament or maybe even a spastic uterus!
