Welcome back... period??!

So it doesn't look like anyone has posted about the joy of the "monthly gift" returning yet... My son is almost 7 weeks and it looks like my period is back. I am EBF around the clock, and even pumping in between to maintain my freezer supply for daycare, so I wasn't expecting it to come back so soon... I guess I better really expedite my decision in choosing a form of birth control (which I have been avoiding)... Anyone else in the same boat?

I am 5 weeks pp and my bleeding finally stopped but still spotting. Can't imagine getting my period next week???!!

Are you all breastfeeding? If so, did you notice a change in your milk supply? I've read that supply can decrease around when your period starts. Mine has dropped recently and it felt like I ovulated yesterday (I've always been able to feel it). It could just be in my head because I'm looking for reasons for my sudden decrease. I'm also 7.5 weeks pp.

No, I don't think I've noticed a change in supply so far... I hope I don't! I've been blessed with a great supply so far and I don't want that to change!

How long did you guys have PP bleeding for? Was there a significant break between it and your period?

My spotting went away at 4wks this time. after my first child I had some spotting again at 6wks that I thought was my period but then nothing until she was 8 months.

I stopped bleeding around 3 weeks, but now a week later, i started bleeding again. Would that be considered a period or just late postpartum bleeding? :-/

I had my 1st 1 last week at 10 weeks pp. Couldn't wear a tampon bc I was bleeding through too quickly. That's the worst period I've ever had!!! I didn't have any cramping though!

Are you breast-feeding or formula feeding? I would say if you are breast-feeding it's probably not a period. But if you're formula feeding it probably is your period.

Oh man, Aunt Flo came for a visit last week 5 weeks pp. I use to have horrible cramps before pregnancy and glad to say that I didn't have any . I wonder what next month will bring me.

I think I ovulated last week due to heavy clear discharge so I assume mines coming next week. I'll be 9 weeks pp if so.

Weird question but how can you be sure it's a period and not the post partum bleeding returning ? I'm bleeding no cramps at 5 weeks pp. came about suddenly but I never cramp

@ChanelLovesB sounds like PP bleeding still. My first period after a baby is always accompanied by cramps and is super duper heavy. I don't normally have heavy or painful periods but that first one is a bear.

My OB said mine coming back at 6w was because i'm on the mini pill. He said it will be heavier than normal, and can come and go with no way to predict.

I had a dip in mine starting day 2 through 1 day after it stopped. But the dip was like 2 oz less pumped for the entire day.

This is exactly how I am... I am 4 weeks post partum & I just started my period already ( as of Tuesday) & Monday I noticed my supply has started to drop.. I thought it was only me. But thank goodness it's not just me & it has to be my period causing this to happen.

Ugh, mine have always been heavy and painful. I'm so over it! And dreading whenever it does start back up. I'm gonna try Mirena, haven't honestly done any kind of bc before but my OB recommended it for my heavy periods... So we'll see.
