Free Annual Sam's Club Membership for New Moms and pregnant women through 9/29.

I did this today (9/21). Their hours are 7am-11pm Monday-Saturday and til 8 on Sundays. I called ~7pm EST. To snag this offer, you’ll need to call 1-888-746-7726, choose option #2 at the first prompt and option #4 at the second prompt, and then tell the representative you are calling for the New Mom Membership offer. I had to call ~5 times (the first 4 times I got disconnected when transferred) and then I was on hold for 25 minutes (I looked at the call clock on my phone), but when I finally got through it was very easy, they took my info (no payment info of any kind) and gave me a confirmation number to take to Sam's Club for my membership card. I've been wanting to join Sam's Club for awhile but not wanting to commit to a membership, so this is exactly what I've been needing.

ETA: For my own experience: A friend linked me to this promo (which I do use hip2save anyway). I got a busy signal multiple times, got disconnected/(possibly) hung up on several times, and was on hold for 25 minutes with music. At the end of it, I was given a membership # over the phone to take to my nearest Sam's Club. I live in Pennsylvania. It sounds like people are having all sorts of different experiences, but I wish you luck!

it was a LONG wait imo. I put my phone on speaker and played on my computer til they answered (and like I said, the first 4 times I got disconnected when it transferred). I wanted the free membership so I sat through it, but it was an exercise in patience.

@EllioCor I just kept getting a busy signal after choosing the membership options, not even put on hold. I tried about 10 times over the last couple hours. My guess is they're flooded with calls. I'll try early tomorrow!

Hey! Just a heads up they can help you in store too! Just go in and head to member services; there were a few mom-to-be's in there last time I went in there (I've been a member since like 2002) to update my membership info. It seems a lot less painless than sitting and waiting just to be disconnected

Do they let you renew an existing membership for free?

I've tried 10 times now and keep getting disconnected. May try going up there later. Anyone have any luck either way?

* Tried going in, they said it's for select people only. They said their system randomly selects names and sends an ad with a promo code in the mail... Guess I'll try calling afterall. Though I didn't like my experience in that particular store. I was as nice as can be and they were nothing but snappy and rude.

No, they didn't let me but to be honest I didn't ask, because it's not my account it's my dad's and it's under his name I was just paying the renewal for him.

I was on hold for 3 hours then they hung up on my..GRR, and called the local store and you have to do it over the phone you can not go up there. I am on hold right now, I tried this evening we will see how it goes.

So I got through and all they do is take your name and address and then give you a reference #, and they mail you the packet in the mail not later than October 15th, then you go to the local sams after that.

I took my reference number to the store and got my card today. Of note: my store actually will do it at the store without you calling the number. They said some people bring in birth certificates and others (like me) are visibly pregnant. It may prove easier for some to call and ask their local store if they are doing the promotion and if they'll do it in store. Mine would have.

I've tried for 2 days to get through. I can't. I was going to get a membership anyways so I think if I can't get through tomorrow I'm just going to pay the $45 fee.

won't hurt to ask if they offer the new mom's promotion in-store. My store said they do it with or without the hotline.

For those having no luck getting through on the phone, try emailing! I tried for hours yesterday to get through on the hotline with no luck. I went on the Sam's Club website under the 'Contact' tab and clicked the link for email. I just wrote a quick message inquiring about the new mom's membership offer and received an answer in less than a day from a customer service rep asking for my information and they sent me a number to bring to the store! Much easier than sitting on the phone!!

Don't give up. I called the 1 888 number and immediately pressed 6509 as someone on Facebook suggested that is how I got through the busy signal and hang ups

So do you have to wait until after you receive the stuff in the mail or can you take the reference # up there and go from there? If it's just the number I am going to go there this weekend then.

I went in with just a reference # from the phone. Also, I read that they have a free baby bundle at the pharmacy you can pick up afterwards through the end of September, but I have not gone and claimed that.

The baby bundle is a sample pack from Huggies including a sample pack of naturals wipes, 2 little snugglers diapers, a coupon for 50 free photo prints, and a sample pack of tissues. My club gave me 2. Offer is through 9/30?

After calling SAMs club headquarters off and on all weeks for the expecting mothers offer I went into our local location today and they gave us a 1 year free membership! Yay for saving $45!

Mine wouldn't let me do it in-store. I did get sick of trying to call in with the normal number options, so I punched in random digits and ended up in a queue. Waited in the queue for almost half an hour, but that was better than a busy signal.

DH and I went to Sam's today just to see if we could walk in and get the free membership and it not only worked but the lady unsold him to the plus membership. So $200 in random stuff, $55 in upgraded membership and two hours later I am heading home and we saved nothing....smh($45 off membership, $4 in plus savings rewards and $2 instant savings)
