Mind blown. Good news

I had my diabetes education class today and was thinking that my really low carb diet.... OB recommended... Was what I was supposed to be doing. The diabetes teacher politely informs me that I need to eat more carbs... And eat 6 times a day... And chocolate and bread are ok to eat... Mind. Blown.
Lol.

I went to the grocery store and got some pasta, salad, and caramel apple bread that I have been passing up for weeks now.

  • Wow - that's great. I just started my diabetic diet recently too. I eat 3 meals and 3 snacks a day. My couselor said some chocolate was ok but recommended darker chocolate and to combine It with protein to slow down the sugars. So far I haven't had any blood sugar issues (well below in fact) so I'm starting to push the envelope a bit. I might bust out a pudding cup and see what happens. I feel like such a rebel. ;-)
