Bouncy chair dilemma

Hello moms!

Someone, not sure who exactly, gave my Mom this bouncy chair for me (see attached picture). I'm so appreciative of all the stuff my Mom had been able to collect for me, but here is my dilemma. It no longer vibrates. My husband is an engineer so I will get him to look at it, but I'm not sure i want to use it if it doesn't vibrate. I remember my bothers LOVED theirs and same with the babies I baby sat. I found one that I think is cuter, and on sale at target for $20. Although saving money is great, we can afford a new one. What do you think? Is the vibration that important?

    It was for my brothers. I wouldn't bother with one that didn't work.

    Nope. We never used the vibration.

    If you don't want to use it, why not suggest your mother leave it at her house for when you come to visit with the baby?

    I was also thinking that the co-worker of my husband is expecting their first, and I might see they are intersted in it (with full disclosure that it doesn't vibrate).

    Neither of my boys used the vibrating feature. But like pp said it can always be used as an extra or simply pass it along to someone who can afford one. Also sometimes if you contact the company they may send you a new piece to fix it at little or no cost

    I have not been around many babies since my brother was born 13 years ago but nothing vibrated back then. Walking around the store I could not believe that everything has a vibration feature now. Maybe it is just me but I find it unnecessary.

    Bouncy with no vibration would have been pointless for my girl when she was a baby! Her vibrating chair was the only way I could get any sleep for the first month!

    Such a great episode! I love when she's shopping and giving all the ladies tips on which "massagers" work best. Thanks for the laugh :)

    I was totally thinking of this when I posted but thought it might be weird to bring up! Lol!!
